Gone.

I have a Pay As You Go phone so I don't think the text messaging plan would work for me.

However, I do have a tablet (Android OS). Could I use it on that or one of my Windows laptops?

 
As far as the phone one goes, the best you can do is try. Other than that, the others ones will work fine for you. :)
