Good 3rd Party PS3 Controllers?

CAGiversary!
I really dislike the PS3 controller. The arrangement of the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons is awful.

I believe the index fingers should be able use L1 and R1, while the middle fingers operate the L2 and R2.

When it came to the PS2 (whose Sony controller was designed similarly awful), I found a solution to the problem. I think it was a MadCatz or Pelican controller, but the L2/R2 triggers were on the bottom of the controller. They were perfect. Your index fingers stayed on the front on the L1 and R1, and your middle fingers curled underneath on the L2 and R2 triggers, while also supporting the controller.

Does anyone know if there are any PS3 controllers with the L2 and R2 triggers on the bottom, allowing for the index and middle fingers to properly use the L1/R1 and L2/R2 buttons simutaneously?

Thanks for any help.

Oh yeah, also, are there ANY 3d party controllers using bluetooth, or are they all regular Ghz wireless?

You may want to try and find the Rocketfish third party controller. Best Buy had it for $37.99 last week. It uses Bluetooth and also has a turbo button.

The next best third party one is the dreamGear Shadow, though don't use it anywhere near wireless signals or it may go wonky.
Although it's not a complete solution to your issues with the controller, these third-party trigger add-ons work really well. Best buy sells them too. I've been very pleased.
I would recommend those as well. I saw them in Toys R Us in the event that you have to pay tax on Amazon. I rest my middle fingers on the L/R2 buttons comfortably (though I don't play that way). Even if you don't like them, they're only $5 and you can probably find someone here who will take them off your hands. Better to take a chance on a cheap solution than paying $35+ for a whole new controller.

Thanks for the info, everyone.

I'll probably go with the trigger attachments for now, and I'll check out the Rocketfish controller as well.

I hope someone (ahem, Sony) comes up with a well-designed controller soon!
