I was tasked with putting together a CD of music for this marathon that is going on in town on Sunday, something the event people can play over the speakers and whatnot. I work at a classic rock and country stations, so the music needs to fit those criteria. Anyone have any suggestions? They have to be decently common, non-obscure shit too.

Don't really listen to rock when I run but I have these 3 on my gym iPod shuffle.

Led Zeppelin - Trampled Underfoot
Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer
Van Halen - Right Now

Ok Holy Diver by Dio, Hurricane by the scorpions, and that crappy song from karate kid....He says Your The Best! a lot as part of the chorus. Just checked my itunes... Heat of the Moment by Asia, Close to me by the Cure, I walk alone by Oleander, Stuck in the Middle by Stealers Wheel, No Rain by Blind Melon. Hope this helps.

Slide by GooGoo Dolls
Me and My Gang by Rascal Flatts
Settling by Sugarland
Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert
Love Don't Live Here Anymore by Lady Antebellum

Hungry for Heaven by Dio
The Final Countdown by Europe
Eye of the Tiger by Survivor
Lunatic Fringe (I'm not sure the band)
Balls to the Wall by Accept
Bang Your Head by Quiet Riot

Hope some of that helps

Here is what I have so far, I guess it's just a classic rock CD. It was supposed to have "upbeat" songs on it, so here's what I have:

AC/DC - Back in Black
Bon Jovi - Livin on a Prayer
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4
Europe - The Final Countdown
Guns N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
Kiss - Detroit Rock City
Queens of the Stone Age - Go With The Flow
Rolling Stones - Start Me Up
The Doors - Break on Through
Tom Petty - Runnin' Down a Dream
Van Halen- Jump
Who - Baba O'Reilly
ZZ Top - LaGrange

Will probably add Magic Carpet Ride and Immigrant Song
