I tear-ass through my Mp3 player earbuds. I need a decently priced pair that are DURABLE. The main form of damage comes from the earbud cord being pulled out of the headphone jack at its base, so I'm assuming the damage occurs at the little jack-area where all the wires converge.

Any suggestions?

Um, if you yank on your headphone cord, naturally it can damage the earbuds. That aside you can get some JVC Gummy earbuds for $10.99 at BB or CC.

the gummies, imo, suck ass. what is your price range?

i have some vmoda isolation headphones, and tehy are great. seem fairly durable too.

skullcandy.

hands down the best earbuds on the market.
you can get them at your local FYE.
they can range from 9.99 if their on sale.

to 59.99.
it depends on the durability you want.
if you want the best sound quality, and the most durable.

get the full metal jacket skullcandy earbuds.
they'll cost you 60 dollars.

but they're well worth it.

EDIT: LOL um working lifting or lifting weights lifting.... I hahaha nevermind

I used to have a craptastic job stocking shelves at kroger which sucked ass except for talking to all the chicks and crazy late night shoppers. Anyway I used to get these: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=4141057&st=sony+ear&lp=9&type=product&cp=1&id=1051384741645 They'd last about 2-3 months lots of wear and tear on the cables from being tugged at every day for 8 hours. Since we could only wear one ear the other cable would have to be wrapped around my shirts button up collar and dangle back inside. Lots of abuse... Oh yea and they have a nice long cord..

Then I was at Walmart and found $.99 ear buds! LOL They sound just fine for talk radio if you into sports talk or similiar which worked for me. As far as music goes they were $.99..... They would last about a month but I could cut off one ear bud and not have to have a dangling one.

If you can wear ear buds while you work chances are you need a better job. Glad I can no longer wear them... :D

I don't know how attached to earbuds you are, but I just ordered myself my third and fourth pair of these: http://www.amazon.com/Koss-KSC75-Portable-Stereophone-Headphones/dp/B0006B486K/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1196455906&sr=8-1

They're absolutely the most comfortable and best sounding pair of headphones i've ever worn in the gym, and I've tried quite a few. Granted, I have run into the same problem of tugging the cord too hard and losing the connection to the speaker, but it usually takes me about a year to beat em up to the point that they don't work, and I'm an every day gym rat.

The way I see it, for a year of "can't feel em" comfort and amazing sound clarity and power in the low end, they're well worth the $13.
