Here's another anime deal from right stuf...

"From now until 12/19, get an ADDITIONAL 20% OFF our already low prices on ALL In-Stock Items! This gives you up to a whopping 28% OFF on In-Stock items... AND if you're a Got Anime Member, you can get up to an amazing 35% OFF Retail Price on In-Stock items!* That's on any type of item too - DVDs, Posters, CDs, T-Shirts - if it's in-stock, it's fair game!*

How? Just use the following reusable coupon code when you check out through our online store:

Coupon Code: yearend
Expires: 12/19/04"

Don't forget the Weekly Specials

I would recommend it for the non dvd stuff. A lot of time you cna get the DVD's cheap but not wallscrolls, manga, shirts, etc.

Rightstuf = RIP-OFF!!!

The only deals present,... are the unpopular titles,.... and the SHIPPING kills any chance of basking in the cheapness.

I wish I wasn't so compulsive,... or I'd unsubscribe from their mailing list. Honestly,... I've only seen a handful of crap make it into the "DEAL" category.

Just to keep track they also have the Genon buy 2 get one free sale...

"From now until 12/31/04 - buy any 2 currently available (not on preorder) Geneon DVDs and get 1 currently available Geneon DVD FREE!*

OR:

Buy 4 currently available Geneon DVDs and get 2 currently available Geneon DVDs FREE!*

How? Just use the following coupon codes when you check out through our online store:

Buy 2, 1 Free Code: FREEDVD1
Buy 4, 2 Free Code: FREEDVD2
Expires: 12/31/04

Plus, if you're a Got Anime Member, you can use your membership and achieve ultimate savings madness!"

Not combineable with 20% off.

And DDD is having their 50% off Genon sale.

I dunno they have some good stuff on occsion. Look at this weeks specials.

Jubei-Chan for $24
Gunsmith Cats for $9
Noir DVD (w/ kick-ass t-shirt) $15
Gundam Wing and Last Exile for $120.
Sakura Wars OVA for $26
Ninja Resurrection/Samurai X the Movie for $6 each.

In general their prices are higher the DDD but on occasion they beat them. And cheap shipping is $3.

How long is the 50% DDD sale going for? Vol 7 of Last Exile is still a preorder and therefore not half price.

Last Exile:
Right Stuf: $119 for the box set
DDD: $97.19 for Vol 1-3 Box plus 4-7 single discs

damn, that 50% off geneon at ddd is sweet, there are a number of titles that are normally 22.31 so even at the 20% sale dont come close to be $15
hmmm....

Right stuf is not a ripoff.
Buyrite, *they're* a ripoff.
Some of TRSI's regular prices aren't that great. You make the decision to buy them or not. Spend a hundred bucks, which is not hard to do, and shipping is free. But they are instrumental in getting a lot of anime over here, and really care about the anime industry and quality products. I've never ordered anything at full price from them, but their sales rock quite often. And customer service is good too-I bought a title that came in a case that held 4-disks; one corner of the case was broken. I wrote them an email. 5 days later, I had a replacement case in my mailbox.
They're better for the big buyers, because of the GA club, and they have a much greater selection than many etailers.
Plus, they have one of the coolest catalogs I've seen.

Yeah .. I got the email too. I think maybe I'll pick up the next Video Girl Ai manga. I can't wait until January for the next reprint to come out. Thanks for the heads up.

Has anyone seen Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances)? The whole series is on sale for $40, pretty tempting to pick up, but not sure.

It's a pretty good TV show. Deals with highschool relationship angst without going over the top in any way. They keep the amount of boobage and fanservice type stuff to a minimum, too. Telling the story from both sides of the relationship leads to a very interesting story.

Just a warning that there's tons of filler after the episode which is the obvious climax of the series (somewhere around episode 19 or so if I remember correctly), still worth watching the later episodes, though it definately declines after.

Decent deal for $40, though.

I also thought Kare Kano was a pretty good show. The filler episodes got a little aggravating at times. I remember thinking they could've done the whole show in 13 episodes rather than 26.

For $40, it's worth it.
