Good headset/mic for PC gaming?

I was wondering what a good headset/mic for PC gaming is? If anyone can recommend a pair at a decent price id appreciate it. I have always been a little intimidated by online gaming because I would hate to ruin other peoples experiences if I sucked. however I played L4D2 with fellow CAGer Nyxx Steele today and had a blast. I found that the 1 thing really missing though was a head set. It seemed I was the only person without one and that was a big disadvantage to both me and my team.
 
Don't really know your price range, but I've never been disappointed with logitech equipment (mouse, keyboard, and headset). I think my headset was about 30 dollars or so, quality has been great and it has had no problems after maybe 6 months or so. Sure the higher priced models are better, but I don't really see the need for higher specs when the cheaper (30 or so) models can get the job done fine (unless you are specifically looking for a high end model, then I have no advice really lol).

$30 was my expected to spend price. Ya it would be nice to only spend $15 but i was expecting to have to spend $30. Can you link me to your headphones?
