My computer's developed this habit of shutting itself off in the middle of games lately. I understand that's a symptom of the CPU overheating (pretty sure it's not the GPU since the game is Battlefield 2412), and I've heard Intel's pack-in heatsinks can be problematic. My CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz.
So, anyone have some recommendations? My girlfriend recently had a machine built and they used a Scythe SCASM-1000 Sleeve Andy Samurai Master CPU Cooler so that's the only name I have at the moment. Her machine is a Core 2 Quad though, so would that be overkill for mine? Does it even matter?
