Goosebumps vs. Are You Afraid of the Dark?

AYAotD is my choice as well... though I really did find 'The Haunted Mask' from Goosebumps hilarious when I saw it again a few weeks ago. :lol:
 
cmon man its no contest are you afraid of the dark was is and will always be the superior product. damn zebo the clown episode had me scared for weeks after i saw it damn creepy stuff. man that butch chick who used to sit in the fire circle is so hot it should be a crime. i think hes a singer now too. it was like tales from the crypt for kids in quality and in scares.

Well since one is a book and the other is a tv show I dont even think you can compare.

Yes I know goosebumps was a show for half a year but we all love it in book form not in tv form.


Given that....I would say they are the same. They both are just balls out fucking amazing. I used to read 2 or 3 goosebumps a day back in middle school then chase it down with some Are you afraid of the dark.



God. They just dont make tv shows like they used it. That show was great.

It was longer than just half a year. Goosebumps ran for 74 episodes while Are You Afraid of the Dark ran for 91.
 
I used to be hooked on those goosebumps books, like most kids at that time. As for the shows though, AYAOTD was way better.

I seem to remember an episode with Gilbert Gottfried.
 
Speaking of Ayaotd, Where can We watch some episodes at, that would make my day, so old time sake, and Yes that kid stuck in the pinball machine episode was ALL WIN no doubt
 
I just watched that PINBALL WIZARD episode and that kid got PWNED at the end, good stuff, seems a little cheesy nowadays but good anyhow
 
I'm going against everyone to say Goosebumps. I loved that show to death and bought all the episodes on bootleg DVD. Are You Afraid of the Dark was amazing as well, though. Man, tv was so good back then.

Polly Shannon was hot in the tale of the pinball wizard. Also both were good but I have to go with ayaotd.

That's always the first episode I think of when someone mentions AYAotD.
