Between gamefly and Goozex, I'm fairly certain I've saved a grand or two on purchases this year.
See you're what's wrong with the economy ... cheapass! On a serious note has anyone seen the "Gift card: 500 Goozex points + 5 trade credits $ 15.00 save 50%!" live? That's the one I would've jumped on, I guess I could go with the 100 pts for $5.00. There's really only one game I want at the moment, Call of Cthulhu for PC, and I have 100 pts from when they were giving them away. I only caught the tail end of the deal.

I bought the 500 pt, 5 trade cred gift card last week. Went to buy another today and sure enough it is not on sale. Damn it.

This wouldn't bother me so much if i wasnt sitting on about 6000 points and 25 trade credits and no new release i want seems to be moving.

Some of the games I've gotten from Goozex have been in better shape then the games I got from fellow CAGS...like the copy of DMC3 I got about a year ago...I won't name names...

As I'm newly anti-Goozex with regards to the overall system being on a bit of a downward spiral, I will have to agree that the quality of Goozex traders was always high.

I often sent new games that I got at Target clearance, and without exception all the games I received were superbly packaged and mint. Though I've never traded on CAG, I've gotten some obviously used items that were listed as NEW on Amazon, Half, eBay, etc. I also often get people selling former rentals as "like new" on those sites.

Goozex had a good crowd of traders, but their super double secret "patented algorithm" is nothing short of embarrassing. As others have said, there is a bottle neck of 1 year old to a few years old games that are priced too high for others to request.

I quit the site recently and would be surprised if it makes it to 2010 unless they modify their "patented algorithm." If they do then I'll be happy to try it out again.

this is a great deal - but i bet it kills supply for awhile. nobody is going to be in a rush to put games in the system when they are already sitting on thousands of points.
