Goozex Game Trading Site - Coupons and General Discussion

Everybody who said that Gametz.com was the best place to go trading... well, it just dropped about a billion points in my book.

I open the site up for the first time and see this...

That game's been officially canceled for the PS2.

A couple months ago.
 
Buffy the Vampire Slayer came in the mail today. The sender didn't use goozex's "high-tech" envelope method, but instead used a super duper ultra futuristic high-tech bubblewrap envelope :lol:. He shipped the case, artwork, manual, and disc. Disc came in decent shape.

Well, if it's not too late. I have the Xbox version of it in my tradelist, at least it will come in complete/mint condition that way.

Hmm... who flaked out? I have a Silent Hill 3 being sent to my girlfriend, it's been quite a while so I wonder if the seller changed their mind?

I had this problem with Burnout 2 and Voodoo Vince. It would match me up with the person but he never responded or refused outright..... i'm guessing.
 
This site is annoying now. Had a match for PoP: The Sands of Time (Xbox) and the trader dropped out, then I had a match for Shenmue II and the trader dropped out, had another match for Shenmue II and again they dropped out. Now I have a match for PoP: The Sands of Time again, but it's been two days and no confirmation.

Well, its not officially cancelled, its "postponed" while Blizzard "evaluates" if they should put it on next-gen consoles or not...so yea, its most likely cancelled, but not officially yet :p
 
I just registered with the coupon, and I received a free "transaction", but my points are still 0. Did they change it, or will the 200 points be added later on?

I had the 200 points right away.

Also, blah, I was first in line for Doom3 CE, but then the price went up to 250 :bomb:

Then it looks like this coupon code B200-264-6206 will only get you one free transaction and no goozex points now.

well after waiting about 6 days, Final Fatasy X now says "active (1 turn to go)" after having been matched. So I went looking for a new game from the "Available Now" list, picked Kingdom Hearts and put in my cart and it says "active (28 turns to go)" so not quite available now.

I know what you mean.

I started a second account set to another address that was originally for my wife. She gave up on it after the first and second games she tried to get were refused(went to matching then back to the request list as 1st in line) and let me try and choose something. Since then I've been refused on 3 more games.

I was trying to figure out what the deal was. I think like someone else mentioned earlier, people are using the "My Library" as a show off list for their collection and not as a list of games to sell. Another is that some people are just having fun pissing people off by refusing any trade offers.

Something else I've wondered is if a trade will be refused immediately(and never shown to the trader) if they haven't purchased transaction points yet.

For example I added a few items for trade to "my Library" but I don't want to purchase any transaction points until I know someone actually wants my stuff. So if someone was matched to one of my games, would it actually let me know or would I have to buy the transaction points first?
 
Got Prince of Persia (Sands of Time) for Xbox the other day. Disc is in ok shape.
I doubt I'll be using this site for trading though...the disc only/junk shipping is too annoying.
 
I just wanted to confirm that the 200 free points no longer works. I just registered a new account and it gave me 1 free trade, but no points. You have to complete one trade transaction before it will give you 200 points. So, you pay for the first game, and they give you the 2nd game free. I guess this deal has run its course. Oh well, time to find a new deal.

Well, I signed up last week for Beyond Good and Evil Xbox. I was 5th in line for a couple days and I've been 4th in line since Wednesday. Hmmm.

The point value was 150 when I signed up, that was like Monday. It went up to 200 at the end of last week. This morning it is back down to 150. Seems kind of strange.

I know others saw prices go up, anyone else seeing flucuations like this> The same game going up then down or down then up?
 
Well this sucks...I got my game in the mail today and it's not what I ordered. I asked for the Sega Smash Pack #1 and recieved Sonic Shuffle. Wtf? I guess I will e-mail them.
 
Got my Viewtiful Joe today, pretty good shape. Saved a GC case for it, so now I just need to snag an insert and manual somehow.
 
I got headhunter redemption, it came in the little goozex mailer with the cover folded up in it so it has a huge crease but its better than nothing, especialy for a free game, i'll keep my account for now but theres no way i'm paying to use this site untill I can get games complete.
 
I got Dungeons and Dragons Heroes disc only but mint for free today!!

I was surprised, thanks Goozex. I'll actually say good things about them to anyone who asks.

Nice. Medal of Honor: Frontline is a pretty good game, I used to have it for the PS2. I'm not too sure where it went, I think someone stole it.

It's $2 at Kmart if you can find it.
 
I got my copy of Tekken tag today. Disc came in good condition and the seller slipped in the insert. So all i need is the instructions for a free complete copy.

Heh, it might of been from the same person who sent me Tekken 4, they sent the insert as well.

Yeah. I just noticed this with Final Fantasy VII. It was at 200 when I first signed up, went up to 300 I think a couple of days after, and now it's back to 200.
 
Received my "Bangai-O" today. There was a crack in the outside of the disc -- my guess is it was damaged during shipping -- and is, of course, completely unplayable.

I had to root around on the Goozex site for what to do. Leaving feedback doesn't do anything but leave feedback -- now I feel bad about doing so, because I think it's the stupid shipping method and not the shipper's fault. But I had to do that to see if it would get my points back or put me back in the queue. It doesn't.

The FAQ says to go to "My Account" and select "Return Disc to Goozex" but there's no place to do that in "My Account" ! Apparently, that has yet to be implemented. Great. I'm a guinea pig.

Sent them email. We'll see what happens.
 
Hi everyone! I am on the Goozex team, and I wanted to introduce myself. After CheapyD gave us his blessings, I wanted to reach out to the CAG users who have become Goozex members...and also to those who have not. We have had a lot of users come from CAG, and I thought it would be a good idea to answer any questions or comments about our service and to get feedback from everyone on what could make it better.

I'm glad to see a lot of trades gone through successfully (except yours blandstalker). I've read through all the posts and instead of trying to answer points on all the comments and questions given, I'd like to start from scratch. One thing that I would like to say upfront, however, is that Goozex is a real company based out of College Park, MD.

I look forward to hearing from everybody and I hope to see everybody continue trading.

1) If the game has manual and box, let the people send it with those things. CAGs, and all people like complete games more than disc only games.

2)Create another coupon for already Gooz members that only CAGs know about. Make the coupon give us 2 more transactions and 150 more points.

3) If youy want more business, make a contest that says that the person who has the most successful transactions by the end of the month(or whenever the contest ends), get a lot of free points, transactions, or free money.

I agree with everything on that list. Also, you need to do something about the flakers. Make it more clear that if you put something up, you intend to trade it.
