Man, no one wants that complete perfect copy of Substance for 100 pts...wow. Isnt it a bit rare too?
Not for Xbox.

...No way. What are the chances of that. Thanks Mooky for Crimson Skies! ;)

Oh, and I'll leave feedback after I try it out later today.

Recieved my game today (Spiderman 2 PS2)...and...holy jesus, it's in PERFECT condition. Looks absolutely new!

I'm definately keeping an eye on goozex, and will get points to trade towards games I want when they become available.

Hi SilverPaw:
I'm glad you got a good game. I would like to just say that it would be cheaper if instead of buying points you traded your games to get points. If you're not a game collector then paying only $1 for a game after you send out a game or two should be ideal...

btw...my copy of spidey 1 & 2 for xbox is up for grabs if anybody is interested...

Well Kameo is pending, I want(ed) to wait for better ones but I figured they will stop beta soon and I didn't want to miss the beta. All they had was Madden and Kameo. I saw Amped 3 and NBA 2k6 yesterday but didn't really want those.

For my luck something good will be put up later tonight..lol

But hey! Free game is awesome, I'm happy

Yeah, that's why I said 'get points', not 'buy points' :D . I might trade in games, but I'm holding off till some game I really want becomes available. I'm checking the 'available games' section every day.

Got my Final Fantasy X PS2 game today in the mail. It's in great condition and the seller included the case art too (no manual). Left positive feedback!

I used delivery confirmation on the first game I sent out they received it like a week ago. I hate people that are too lazy to log into the site and click that they have received. The second game I sent has also been delivered but no confirmation yet.

What really sucks is waiting for people to ship you your games though. Waiting on my second disc which was confirmed shipped around 5 days ago. I figure it will take around 7-14 days for delivery like my last game. I think traders should start with 2 available trades at a time instead of 1 as 2 weeks is way too long to sit around waiting for 1 game, especially when you're mailing out more than that to other users.

I'd still like to see the site steal a couple ides from switchdiscs.com too, mainly, letting people know if the game is complete or not and what method you plan on shipping (paper mailer, bubble mailer, etc.). As it stands, I joined switchdiscs.com after I joined Goozex, and yet I've mailed out 3 games at Switch Discs and been able to request 7 games with my points. No lame 1 game at a time even though you have enough points for more. I think if you earn points, you should be able to spend them, especially considering you also have to pay $1.00 per trade while other sites like switchdiscs.com are free.

I entered the code for the free trade upon sign up plus two trades and 100 pts following the first initial trade, and I received messages saying that I had insufficient points. I assumed that the "free trade" suggested that I didn't have to worry about the point system right away.
You get one free trade, but no points. The code previously gave 200 free points and a free trade.
Hi Scrubsy:
Warmlonelyplanet was correct in his original statement about our coupon code. You will get an additional 2 trade credits (read as void the $1 fee) and 100 points after your first successful trade...

Does Switchdiscs.com have any promotional codes going on? I'm interested in trying them.
Does Switchdiscs.com have any promotional codes going on? I'm interested in trying them.
They have no codes, but you can mail 3 dvds/games to them directly and get credited for their suggested Switchbuc value rather than wait for some one to request games from you, plus they give you an extra 10 Switchbucs free. It's a good way to get rid of a few crappy games that no one would probably request from you anyway. I will say this though, ask for the new mailing address before shipping out your games as I guess they just moved their office. I sent to the old address (the one they still have in their welcome e-mail) and my package is getting returned by the post office according to USPS tracking.

Recieved my Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Seller didn't use goozex's Envelope, used a clear DVD case. Disc is mint!
I would definitly use Goozex in the future.:D

hey i am really confuesed isigned up for the site a few weeks back and never did any thing on it but i got a email saying i am getting gran turismo 4 in the mail within 10 days?
i dont get it
how do i just get a game free?

listed 2 games on this site to see if its really any good.

Free game i got was sims and it was broken

listed

Outlaw vollyball
outlaw tennis for ps2

got them for 10 each so though what the hell

I saw this game listed on Goozex today: Advance Wars: Under Fire. This game does not exist, so I'm not sure how some one could be offering it for trade, unless they meant to add the Gameboy Advance version of Advance Wars, which you can't do since Goozex doesn't let you trade Gameboy games.

I also have a question for Goozex. How long are we supposed to wait for a game that has been shipped to us before reporting it missing? Two weeks? And how do we go about reporting this?

I still say it sucks to basically have to wait 2 weeks between games because we are limited to 1 trade at a time. Starting with 2 at a time seems more reasonable or maybe a bump to 2 at a time after you ship out your first game. Sending out more games than you receive does not make for a pleasant trading experience.

not necessarily. It could be the people interested are currently receiving games already. New members can only receive one at a time(not sure why) so you may have to wait about a week or so until you get an address. Even then it takes a few hours for them to match you up sometimes.

something weird from today.

Goozex let me trade another game even though I have one pending(I shipped a few days ago, should get there today/monday) and I only have a trader rating of 10 (1 trade cleared).

Hopefully this is a sign that they are loosening up the rules a bit.

As far as I can tell, you can send OUT as many games as you want, but you can only RECEIVE one at a time. I sent 2 out at once already.

And to answer your question, Slidecage, just because a game is on some one's wanted list, doesn't mean they have enough points or trades available to request it from you. I have at least 30 games on my wanted list but I can't request another game until my copy of DDR finally gets here. I've been waiting 7 days so far.

My bad. I thought they limited trades to one at a time, giving or getting.

anyways this is all I have left up for grabs(all complete and all ps1 games):

- Wipeout XL
- Soul of the Samurai
- Animaniacs: Ten Pin Alley
- Gex 3
- Invasion from Beyond
- Tomb Raider: The last Revelation
- Killer Loop
- Gran Turismo
- Gran Turismo 2
- Grand Theft Auto 2
- Robotron X (is also complete except manual... I only have the manual's cover)
- Crash Bash
- Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas

I'll be adding some current-gen stuff soon, I'll post when I do.

EDIT: added a few more ps1 games to my list

I have quite a few of my games listed right now, but mostly my crappy PS1 and Dreamcast games. I'd list some better games if the point values were fixed. I don't really want to mail off a $50 game for 100 points. Any sport game older than 2006 should be 100 points and rare old RPGs should be at least 400 points, 600-800 points if they're worth more than a Xbox 360 game on Ebay.

Instead, most of my old sport games are worth 200-400 points while my rare PS1/PS2 games are pretty much all 100 points. Wow, my NBA 2k5 is worth 550 points, alright! I guess I'll cash them out for 5 and a half copies of Gitaroo-Man, which is only 100 points! I really think Goozex, if they want to stick around and get some more valuable games traded on their site, needs to start a committee of their users and get some more realistic point values set for common and rare games.

Looks like Goozex increased the number of game requests from one user to 3. I just got 3 game requests from the same user. Wish I would have noticed before I printed out the first Paypal shipping label, I would have sent them all in one package and saved a couple bucks.

So I have 4 trade credits and 900 points...now I just need some one to add some games from my wantlist. I'd request a ton of the available games if I knew they were complete, but since I have to assume they're disc only, there aren't any I want. I may have to remove my available games from the list as I'm starting to get too many Goozex points.

Goozex, I will personally purchase 100 trade credits from your site for $1 each and add another 100 games from my collection to your site if you do the following:

1. Change your site so we know if a game comes complete or not or allow us to request complete copies of games. Then encourage people to ship complete games in a bubble mailer rather than disc-only. When using media mail, this costs a whole $1 more than sending the game disc-only via first class. To see how to do this, check out switchdics.com. You could also take a lesson from them on the whole "community" concept, as they allow users to actually communicate with each other.

2. Add PSP, DS, and Gameboy games to your site

Hi everyone,
Please excuse the delay in responding I'm currently in San Jose, CA and as you can imagine 24 hours in a day are just not enough...

With regard to the trading restrictions, we have relaxed them. We expect that to help everyone out.

I wasn't able to see Advance Wars: Under Fire as available on our system. Which leads me to offering portable games...we need to clear up a few things with our content provider before we can list those games...plus we need to finalize different mailers for them...

As for when to report negative feedback on a game not received, you should wait 10 business days. It is reasonable to assume that mail is delivered anywhere in the U.S. within 10 business days.

Hi Slidecage:
You will have the shipping addresses once you commit to send the game. If you missed the address the first time you can always go back to your list and click on the show address button to view where you should send your game...

Let me know if you have any other questions...

Slidecage:
I responded to your PM about this....I'll repost here since you also asked in public...

"I might be confused in what you're trying to do. So I'll describe two situations.

1. Committing to Send a Game
If a match has been made between you and another user you should first receive an email asking you to send your game. You would log on to Goozex and go to "My Library" and any games that are waiting to be committed should be at the top of your list. Once you have committed to send a game, it will be placed at the bottom of the list where you can click on the button to view the receiver's address. Once the receiver has confirmed that he/she has received the game, it will move to "Completed Transactions," and you will not be able to see the receiver's address again.

2. Confirming a Game you Received
If you received a game and are ready to confirm you simply go to "My Requests" and click on confirm. You will be given some options like Good Trade, Broken Disc, Pirated, etc...Once you have confirmed the game will move and be listed in "Completed Requests.""

wow i love goozex, but they need more people since there are so many games for demand but so little of stock.

have 1100 points bought transaction credits but only 2 games thru (shinobi ps2 shipped, and received ratchet going commando)

need to try katamari and other stuff but no one has it even if im first in line
and MvC 2 for ps2 got inflated to 1000 points whoA

p.s. I sent you that dragon quest viii ZannaBianca ;)

I watnt to do this but I don't know how the coupon works...Do I have to trade one of my games to get another (when the coupon is active)? Do I just place an order for the game (with the coupon) and I don't have to trade one of my games? I want RE 4 for my PS2...Oh ya that reminds me of a question. Do they come complete? Is there a way of checking? Also, checking the condition of the game? Please answer me as soon as possible.

Hi EarthKing:
Yes, you need to first complete a trade, either as a seller or buyer in order to activate the additional 2 free trade credits and bonus 100 points (as you've seen 100 points can get you a lot of games on Goozex now). So the way it works is when you register on Goozex you type in the code below and your account will be stamped to receive the bonuses after your first trade. My suggestion is that you should get in the queue now for RE 4 and send out any games that you need to acquire 700 points.

-----------
Current coupon:
The coupon code is: CAG-0806-31

The coupon offers:
- 1 FREE trade at signup
- 2 additional FREE trades and 100 bonus points when the user completes his/her first positive transaction as a buyer or as a seller
www.goozex.com

-----------

Goozex only requires senders to ship the original game disc. Other users have gone beyond this and included the manual and/or case. At the moment we can't offer this as part of the service because the costs wouldn't allow us to maintain the low $1 transaction fee.

Of the hundreds of games traded so far, we have had only a handful of problems regarding broken discs and/or unplayable discs. All trades are 100% guaranteed, meaning that if you receive a game that is unplayable, broken, pirated or simply never received you will be automatically refunded your trade credit and points used for getting the game...no questions asked.

I think you can expect in Goozex Beta 2.0 to see new communication tools that will allow you to talk to members about anything.

Let me know if you have any other questions...

Just an update, I have all of these on my Goozex trade list and they are ALL COMPLETE:

======== For PS1 =====================================

- Soul of the Samurai
- Animaniacs: Ten Pin Alley
- Gex 3
- Invasion from Beyond
- Tomb Raider: The last Revelation
- Killer Loop
- Grand Theft Auto 2
- Robotron X (is also complete except manual... I only have the manual's cover)
- Crash Bash
- Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas
- Grand Tour Racing 98'
- Dino Crisis (is only missing RE3 demo disc)

====== For Xbox =======================================

- Phantom Dust
- Taito Legends

..also I supposedly have a copy of Intelligent Qube(ps1) being sent me in a day or so. If I actually receive a working copy(even disc only) I'll be totally happy.... and surprised.

PS1 games all complete most sealed. Some are upc punched or have a punch on the upper left hand corner of the case:

Dexter's Laboratory: Mandarks Laboratory
Disney's Treasure Planet
Epidemic
ESPN Extreme Games
Formula 1
Perfect Weapon
South Park: Chef's Luv Shack

AMAZING!

I just received my disc-only copy of Intelligent Qube(PS1) in the mail today!!! I was sure that I would be sent some other crappy game (I couldn't beleive someone would part with that thing) but was pleasantly surprised to see IQ in that little paper envelope.

It's an incredible deal for a mere 200 points! Thanks to whoever sent it.

I don't know if anyone had posted this elsewhere but Goozex now has PSP/DS/GBA games up for trade. I'm not sure how this works with their shipping but at least we can trade that stuff.

cool deal.

Well, I just looked at Goozex for the first time in a few days and noticed they now list handhelds! PSP, DS and GBA games. OK, not many yet, but hey, it's a start!

its a damn well start. i hope goozex becomes BIG so the whole community would benefit from the quick transactions

Hi everyone,
You guys are quick! I'll be making a more formal announcement either later today or tomorrow on a new thread regarding Goozex after we get permission from Cheapy D. But yes, you can now trade your PSP, DS and GBA games on Goozex! Also, we have a new update page that you can start monitoring our improvements.

http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/about_update.asp

Support for portable consolesGoozex announces support for the portable consoles: Nintendo DS, Gameboy Advanced, and Playstation Portable, effective August 31, 2006.
This new addition extends the number of supported platforms from 6 to 9, offering a broader product range to its users, and allowing trades across platforms.
Goozex extended the number of supported platforms in response to several requests received from our users. It is part of Goozex's effort to provide prompt customer service and satisfaction.

(released: August 31, 2006)

New shipping methods - Matrix matchGoozex is working on extending its service with new shipping methods that will provide greater flexibility to its users in choosing the condition they wish to receive or offer their games.
The new feature, named "Matrix Match", will employ a matrix-based approach in order to match demand and supply for either disc-only or full-package trades. Users will choose their preferred shipping condition when the game is requested or offered, and the system will automatically match "compatible" demand and supply and create a trade between the users based on their preferences.

(release: September 15, 2006)

Definitely a move in the right direction. I also noticed that the number of trades users can have in the mail at once was increased a while back.

Oh, here's a new request. Now that GBA, PSP, and DS games are available, my wantlist (My Requests) is full. There are more games I'd like to add in case they become available, but I've reached the maximum number that My Requests will hold. Can this number be increased?
Do I have to buy trade credits? Or do I get a trade credit when I send out a game?
If you've used up all your promo credits, then you will have to buy more. That said, however, after we declare the winner of the Goozex 1,000 promo I'd like to run another that gives trade credits by end of the year.

Thanks Rictor! We are really working hard to take what everyone is telling us and finding the best way to deliver what our customers want in a way that doesn't affect our low price.

The max limit on My Requests and Library is 100 games. That was pushed up from 50 a few weeks ago. In terms of priority, that is something that will have to wait after we do some other site changes like Mailer Matrix.

Ah, well, I guess I have 100 games on my wantlist but since none of them are available, I'm just sitting on my available trade credits and 900 points. There are other games I'd take, but I hate babysitting my account every day and checking the available games to see if there are any I want, then deleting a game off my wantlist so I can add an available game. If I could add the other 200 or so games I want to my wantlist, then I wouldn't have to log into the site except when I needed to mail out a game.
