I love goozex, i have had nothing but great experiences using it, but i also dont mind waiting weeks for my games. Hopefully this has not been posted anywhere in CAG canada.

Don't you have to wait weeks (if not months) to be able to grab new releases and such because of queues? RFD was talking about it and waiting months just to play a game... I'd rather just rent the damn thing.

Just F5 on the page at 10PM Pacific the night before. Put the game on your watchlist beforehand and fight past the server load.

I'm currently around 28th in line for Mass Effect after taking into account Restricted members and Holds. I'm like 20th in line for White Knight Chronicles. Since some people only send to Canada, I might get it even faster than that. Got Halo ODST in about a month or so.

If you have a huge backlog and don't need the game on day 1, it's great.

Yeah I don't really like buying points because its like giving Goozex money for literally nothing in exchange. I think they do this 50% off sale every 6 months I think and I have never taken advantage of it. Unless you are high on a Q for a game you really want its not really worth it.

I got Demon Souls, 2 weeks ago, havent played it since I'm busy with Dragon Age..with Goozex put it in your Q then forget about it till you actually want it, which for me is about 2 months after the game is released. For anything you want right away, Goozex is not the answer..even if you place top 10 to a newly release game its still gonna take a few weeks to even a month to get that game if your lucky.

I like to use goozex for older games. I got some PS2 games for my kids, as well as GTA 4 and Lost Odyssey for myself before. Not to mention, the point values are normally much better than the previously played games at EB. Plus, trading games away through goozex is a better value than physical stores. Gonna have to grab some points when the next pay comes in.

Totally, old games FTW. Queues on new stuff are nutty. If I wanted a new game I'd just buy it.

Limits and restrictions apply. Gift Cards must be redeemed as soon as possible. The system will automatically disable a Gift Card code after 12 months from the purchase date.

Not that I'm not going to redeem my GC, but that limitation is illegal. Or at least up here...

Ya, Goozex is great for older games or to just wait your turn for a game while playing other games. I waited a while on borderlands, beat it while waiting for UC2, send borderlands away, still playing UC2 but have Assassins Creed 2 in the mail already.
I would just buy the games in store on other deals if possible if you want a game day 1. Like i will be with Final Fantasy XIII

I also have never purchased Goozex points and don't plan to anytime soon. Goozex is best for older titles. I have gotten a few shortly after release but it's a crap shoot.

They updated the deal and added tokens to the sale. You can pick up 100 tokens for 50% off which comes out to around $54 CND. For smaller traders this isnt a great deal but for someone like me the tokens deal is awesome.
goozex seems too much of a hassle
Depends on how you do it; if I had the money I would just stock up when these sales rolled around, and just wait for my games to appear on my door step. You technically don't even have to leave feedback since the system will automatically close the trade with a positive. You may have to change your request/hold list from time to time, but other than, it's practically "set it and forget it"

I think I'll just on this but I haven't traded a game in a while. Is it still $1.96 postage to ship within Canada?

Nah the total comes out to $2.10 now, I believe.

Since I'm collecting a bunch more than playing at the moment, this is GREAT! That and it's cheaper and easier than flipping games.
As for giving goozex money for nothing in exchange, they have the goozex exchange now so you CAN get new stuff with points right away if you have a lot of points to spare. Do the math and it works out about the same as what you'd pay in store with this deal.

How much reputation do you need to exceed the $55 purchase limit? My rep score is 110, and I seem to be limited. Not that I really care, the 2000 points I bought was all I wanted. I'm just noticing that everything is blocked for me now

Well that was fast. Just had a trade accepted for MAG. I was a like 20something I think but I guess this person only sends to Canada. I thought I had it on Hold. I'll just try it out and send it away if I don't like it >.>

I've never gone for the Goozex sales before, but this time around I ended up getting 2000 points. There's a handful of new releases I'm interested in, but could care less when I get them and don't want to pay $60 for, so it seemed like a good idea.

Finally caved yesterday and bought 100 tokens for $50. That shouuuld last me well into the summer, but we'll see how she goes! Now I just need points!

It's pretty easy to get points when it comes to PS3 over 360. Heck, the non-GOTY LBP is still 800.

I love Goozex. You aren't always going to get the best quality stuff, but sometimes you get blown away. Got a pristine copy of Digital Devil Saga Deluxe Box Set, and based on the price I bought the points at, it cost me $18.

I wish it encompassed more retro though, such as NES/SNES/N64. I can't understand why it doesn't have N64, since it has PSX.
