CAGiversary!
A friend of the family's kid was throwing away games he didn't want. (Because his family just buys him new games rather than trading in games for credit.) Of course, his mother was pissed, but rather than deal with the hassle of trading them herself she gave them to me instead.

All are all disc only, but in very good condition. So, how did I do? Yeah, mostly sports games, but there are a few gems. What games should I keep, and what games should I sell?

PS1
Bass Landing
Gran Turismo 2 (Disc 1 and 2)
Madden 2000
Metal Gear Solid (Disc 1 and 2)
Squaresoft on Playstation 1998 Collector's CD vol. 1
Tony Hawk Pro Staker 3

PS2
NBA 2K2
Speed Kings
NFL 2K3
World of Outlaws Sprintcars 2002
James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire (2 copies)
Spider-Man
ATV Offroad Fury
NFL QB Club 2002
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Time Crisis II
Spyhunter
Conflict: Desert Storm
NBA Live 2001

Xbox
Tony Hawk's Underground
Amped 2
NHL 2005

PC
Pack 5 Action Games (Disc 1 and 4, Serious Sam and Heavy Metal Fakk 2)
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3D

Yeah, that's for sure. I can't wait to play some of these games. I'm looking up trade-in credit for everything. Pretty much $1 for most titles, but $8 for World of Outlaws Sprintcars 2002, lol. Crazy!

EDIT: Wow! $42.95 at eStarland.com for World of Outlaws Sprintcars 2002 (for sale I mean, it's $20 in trade in credit)

Thanks Jedi, I'll look at ebay for it.

Nope, no gun :( I'm lucky I got the disc in one piece, lol.

EDIT: Hmmm, it looks like I know what game cases to pressure for now. World of Outlaws 2002, Time Crisis 2 (with gun hopefully), Speed Kings, Amped 2, Bass Landing and Metal Gear Solid. They look to give higher prices compared to the other games (at least on eStarland.com I'm trying to find the site to see the trade-in credit for Warehouse). Doubt they'll find the PS1 cases, but I'm sure they have the PS2 and Xbox cases lying around their house. Guess I know what I'll be doing at their house the next time I babysit for them, lol.

Keep and play the ones I bolded in your original post, trade/sell the rest if you can.

Vice City and SpyHunter on PS2 were good, with VC being the better of the two, specially if you grew up in the 80's as all of the references to 80's pop culture are great. Hell, you even get Crockett and Tubbs(Miami Vice) chasing you in a sports car if you get a high enough wanted level.

Spy Hunter was a great remake of a classic series imo and well worth the original price and even better for free.

The original MGS was and is one of the better games for the PS1, although I never personally liked all the sneaking and sniping.

And, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think Squaresoft on PS 1998 Collectors edition Disc 1 was the second disc that was included with VAGRANT STORY on PS1.

I say that because I believe that was the second disc I had with the copy I bought from a local shop complete.

So, looks like you may be looking for other games/cases when you next babysit, huh?

Oh and tyhana, try secondspin.com for trade values, as they're pretty accurate. Unfortunately though, if you're thinking of trading the games into Wherehouse or any Transworld chain(sam goody, fye, coconuts), you're going to need them complete and MINT, since they're pretty anal retentive about condition/completeness.

Those were the ones I was thinking too. I'm at least gonna play everything besides the sport games. It's sure been a while since I had any games I wasn't sure about keeping. I always buy games I know I like.

It was packaged with Vagrant Story? I'm adding that to the list of things to find in their house, lol. (The mother is a shopaholic and they've never seen the inside of a Goodwill before, so, well, their house is full of just... stuff...)

Yeah! Secondspin.com was what I was looking for. Ah, mint and complete huh? Well, guess that's a no, lol. At least I can bookmark it for later. Thanks!

I think it was included with Parasite Eve as well, possibly others.

I just picked up a copy of Parasite Eve used from Half Price Books, and mine didn't come with any discs other than the two game discs, and there aren't any empty disc spaces (if you know what I mean; there's not room for another disc in the case). But I did get a Greatest Hits copy, so I don't know what the non-GH version may have with it.

Conflict Desert Storm is my favorite co-op game ever made- I literally spent weeks beating it on expert with my friend two summers ago. It's fun as hell.

Had all 3 three Squaresoft PS1 demos at one time or another. Here's what each included and came packed in with.

Vol. 1- Came packed in with Parasite Eve. Had videos of Brave Fencer Musashi, Bushido Blade 2, FFVIII & playable demo of Xenogears.

Vol. 2- Came packed in with Brave Fencer Musashi. Had a playable demo of Final Fantasy 8.

Vol. 3- Came packed in with Vagrant Story. Had playable demo of Threads of Fate and videos of Saga Frontier 2 & Parasite Eve 2(not sure about the videos, but I remember it had that playable demo).

So if it's Volume 1 you have, look for the Parasite Eve case. It has to be a non-GH version, since the GH never included it.

im shocked people are still paying insane prices for

world of outlaw around 30 bucks

i would rather play the remake for cheaper it the same freaking game i think if i remember right

Ah, thanks for the info tangy! I don't see the boy I got these from to be a Parasite Eve kinda person, so he probably "borrowed" it from a friend and never gave it back, lol.

I'm shocked too slide. The second I saw the prices for World of Outlaws I was floored. There's no way his mother bought that. So, probably another game he "borrowed" from a friend. Unless he shoplifted it... Uh... Never mind, let's not think these are stolen o.o He's like... 12. Kids don't steal anymore at that age.... Right?

EDIT: Are there any other places other than Gamestop/EB Games that take disc only games? Are there any stores that take disc only PC games?

Yeah, it was included with non-gh version of Parasite Eve. I have that one i bought new on clearance way back.

Thanks for all the info about the demo disc. I played it last night (well, watched the 3 vids and played the Xenogears demo). Vids were good, and I liked the demo too. It was quite long, which was nice. I don't think I understand the battle system, but that's the best part (at least for me). It feels like a fighting game... Pressing buttons in a certain order to create combos.

I also tried my hand at Bass Landing... it's probably a good thing that I don't go fishing, lol. I was playing the tutorial for about 3 hours and I've only completed the 2nd part of the tutorial (out of 10).

I played Tony Hawk 3 also. I had that game for the N64 back in the day. Looks pretty much the same... But I didn't realize that Bam Margera was in it! It feels strange having a time limit again though. Ah, how times have changed, lol.
