Got a PAL SNES, now just need a converter?

So I won an auction for a European SNES complete with Terranigma and a homemade Star Ocean (english) cart!! The only problem is, I don't think my TV supports PAL 50 Hz. Would the best option be to get a PAL to NTSC converter and hope that my TV supports NTSC 50 Hz?

That does NTSC to PAL, but not the other way around.

Ha ha :lol: right you are. Maybe I should have read the reviews before I offered it up as an option.

There's this one http://www.amazon.com/Atlona-Toolbox-CDM-660-Standards-Converter/dp/B001FQB142/ref=pd_cp_vg_2 but it's balls expensive. It's the only one I can find that actually works, according to reviews. You could probably find a small PAL TV for the price of that.
