Got an XBOX 360 Core for about $135 out of Pocket.

CAGiversary!
Well, HOW! Sad to say this is just for bragging rights, and there are few here who could pull it off.

About a week ago a guy buys a 360 Core from my friends Gamestop. Two days later, he says he does not want it and comes in and wants his money back. It is still in its wrappings and everyhting but it is OPEN!

Well, my friend works at a Gamestop in a Mall, and after about a half an hour, he is already tired of peoples crap. So he says no! you cannot return it, but you can sell it back. Which the tard does.

Well, this "open box" 360 is still essentially new, but we sell it as used. Now Gmestop is doing a trade-in deal where they give you an $80 for an XBOX if you use it for a 360. So I have a crappy, works sometimes, and I never use it XBOX and trade it in with an offbrand XBOX controller. (I have a good working one) Get my $80.

My friend lets me return my PC version of Oblivion, since I do not have Hardware T&L (yEAH, SURE.........) FOR FULL REFUND.

And with the employee discount, it came out to about 135.00 out of my pocket.

A little bragging, but I had no use for what I traded back in and that 360 was obviously brand new, good stuff. Ridge Racer rocks!

EDIT:

Yes, I do have a hard drive, we got a used one from my work, that had to be wiped clean back at the Warehouse. $80, with 25% off stacked discount. With GPG, i can trade it in within a year, claim it is broken, and get the inevitable larger version of the 360 HDD.

Congratulations, sir. Even I might get a 360 if I could work out something like that.

I hope that game wasn't opened, or you will be banned from ever giving shit to someone who blasts an EB/GS employee for not bending rules.

chances are it was open or how would he know he needed hL shaders. I think the op is an obnoxious little fucker. He cashes in on something the guy with the 360 couldnt (returning open items) just because you know someone who works there. Woohoo you took advantage of a store. Also, anyone who sells a 360 back that cheap must have serious mental issues.

What a wimp! Is that GS policy - no returns on open hardware? I would have raised some serious hell on this one. And remind me to never buy hardware at EB/GS.

To my knowledge, I don't think you can returned an opened system for money back at almost all retail stores.

They'll give you another system, but not the money back.

I'm pretty sure you can return open hardware to Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc for a refund. Open software no, but hardware is usually fine.

Here's BB's policy:

Looks like a console would be fine within 30 days to me as long as you have the original receipt and packaging.

----------------------------

I don't know if the B&M has a different official policy from the .com, but according to this page on their site anything opened is not returnable to GS. What a crock.
