Got some cool stuff for free

Very nice, I know a guy at my gamestop, he gives me the displays all the time, I still have my sonic heros one since its small.

I thought you meant that your friend got the stuff for free (from your original post) but i'll assume that he gave this stuff to you (as the topic implies)

Top this:
Pirates Standee
KOTOR 2 Standee
Ghost Recon 2 Standee
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Standee
Mario Power Tennis Promo Shelf Item
Around 15 or so Game Boxes (the oversized ones made of paper they have floating around, including Half Life 2 and KOTOR 2)
Punisher T-Shirt
Reseident Evil 4 Making of DVD
Oddworld Stranger Making of DVD
NBA Street V3 Demo
4 halo 2 posters (2 sets of 2 different ones- one set was for a friend)

I haven't even gone there yet this week, gonna go down there soon and see what else I can snag.

I snag standees whenever they have something cool that I wanna put up - I have room for 2 in my computer/game room, and right now those are Paper Mario & Zelda: 4 Swords. I've got my name on the new Zelda: Minish Cap one (which looks VERY nice), and it will be replacing 4 Swords. I don't purposefully only get Nintendo displays, but I suppose I've just liked theirs the most lately.

Anyway, the manager at my local EB hooked me up w/ the Suikoden 4 artbook the other day, and I don't even own the game. :)

Stop making my find look like shit :whistle2:(.

heh anyway that is some cool stuff you guys have, I really should talk to this guy more often and see what else I can get.

While picking up my pre-ordered copy of Getaway Black Monday friday at GS, they were throwing out some stuff. But asked them if I could take any, so walked out with a RE4 stand and last month's OPM issue along with my game.

I work at Gamestop and occassionally nab a standee when no one else wants it. My best, by far, is a full-size Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker standee, which is occompanied by full-size standees of Madden 2004, Paper Mario 2, and Pirates. I've also got a nice selection of mini-standees which include Xenosaga, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, Dark Cloud 2, Arc the Lad [PS2], and some others. As for the BK wall scroll, I picked up the last extra one at work the day the game came out and just this past week picked up three more that we had received in a shipment after the pre-order special was over. :p
Don't suppose you want to part with that BK wall scroll, do ya? ;)
It's a really cool wallscroll and i'd like to keep it, I would be more willing to trade it if there was actually something I wanted x-p.

Nice stuff man, This is the one I got from my work at TRU.

My rooom mate actual stole a standee from an EB... it was the four swords one. I just can't imangine him going up and just walking away with it. He didn't run or anything like a doof. He took gnoming to a new level.

GTmaster39 - That is to god damn cool, it totally puts my standee to shame.

Angelic - Must have waited outside until an employee went to the backroom x-p.

The sad thing was he was in a mall. So he probably looked a little odd with a huge piece of cardboard under his arm. Personally I wanted to ask my EB for their Kirby and the Amazing Mirror desk display it was sooo shiny. But my EB is full of jackass clerks and a dumbass manager who tries to convince everyone sports games and 1st person shooters are the best.
It can't be more odd than the people who run out of EB/GS with an empty display box thinking theres a game inside.
So very true, my friend worked at a local game store that sold used games and for awhile they kept the discs in the cases, but many games kept getting stolen so they decided to put the discs in a folder behind the counter, so of course the folder got stolen.

The Hastings I used to go to had all the used games in a glass case, but after you asked them for it they would let you carry around the store until you were ready to pay. Needless to say there were alot of empty gamecube/ps2/xbox game cases around the store.

Although the last time I went there the employees held the games until you were ready to pay.
