Okay I don't think your on my friends list but I'll add you and look for you around 1145ish est time.

Couple things bugging me about the game so far:

- Hard mode does not give normal mode achievements as well
- When killed in scope mode gun gets stuck in the guy's face (looks halarous though)
- Dumb, Dumb, AI (enemies and ghosts)

Other than that game is freaking awesome so far, ill prolly be on more this weekend if you guys want to play.

OK....What the F_ck is going on?

Problem 1: I cannot for the life of me find any online games. Everytime I do a quick match there's already one in progress and I have to wait 10+ min till the next game. After 30min of trying I found one that was only 1min wait. Anyone else having this problem?

Problem 2: I saw a few of you guys online. I got an invite from X twice and couldnt join, I would get "Could not connect to server" error. Also I saw zewone and santurio (Ramo Z) and they were in a game where it was "joinable". I must have tried a million times to join them and no luck. Same damn message "Could not connect to server"

Help...
Lol, that was fun Sullivan and Franky. Hope you guys got achievments for that level.
Haha that was huge. Good times on our multiple attempts with a 3 person squad. After 7 hours of Ghost Recon, it's time for bed, work in 4 hours.

I was in a room with X and Steve for a few rounds but then they seemed to drop. I never could join with Franky, I got an invite but I couldn't get in. I saw you online but you were playing SP and didn't want to bother you.

Today I won't be on late cause I'll be out, but I will be on early- between 6 & 8 Central

Lol, yeah, all those tries for a whole 8 points >_<
Anyways, word to the wise:
On Old Town, don't manually shoot down the blackhawk, let nature take its course.

I thought I was gonna pull off the mission too then I lost connection to the game...damn. It was intense though.

I tried to join Franky w/ his invite, but it wouldn't let me as well.

Have you tried forwarding your ports on your router (if you have one). I had similar problems befor i did on mine.
Have you tried forwarding your ports on your router (if you have one). I had similar problems befor i did on mine.
See, thats's what I been hearing something about. Need to allow ports on router or something like that, but Im not technical in networking. How would I do that? Someone also mentioned to me to just reset the modem.

Are your NAT settings open?
To check, go to dashboard, and go all the way to the right, and there should be an option for "Test Connection" or something like that.

Try opening a browser window on your PC (it doesn't matter what browser you use, IE, Firefox, etc.), and type this into the address field:

192.168.2.1

That's the default IP address to access most routers. More than likely it'll bring up a username/password entry field. If you've never messed with the router settings before, more than likely both the username and password are "admin".

After that, you should be looking at the myriad of router settings. Look for something like "Port Forwarding". From there, you can tell the router exactly what ports you want it to open.

Im at work right now. I'll check when I get home. What do I do, should it be open closed, or should I just post back with how it is?

BTW: Thanks for your help guys I really hope I can get this working so I can play with you guys.

What is the model and company of the router?

Traditionally to access it you type: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in your webbrowser

Type in the username and password for the router
by default it is usually: admin/password or admin/admin

If it doesnt bring it up goto run and type cmd, when it brings up the command prompt type ipconfig, itll show you a couple things - look for the default gateway

Type whatever that number is in your browser and it shoud bring it up.

Once you get into the router settings there should be a tab or a section somewhere that talks about port forwarding. The easiest way to do it would be just to set your xbox360 as the DMZ host which you can find somewhere in your settings (just look around for it), different companies place it different places so theres no default place for the DMZ host to be. All the DMZ host does is set you the first place where the port packets go, thus making it look like you are the only comp on the network. However its not exactly a very good solution for some routers, I would try seeing if you could forward the ports first.
What do I do, should it be open closed, or should I just post back with how it is?
When you start the connection test, it will go step-by-step checking each part of your connection. Once it hits a roadbump, it will stop, meaning you should focus on fixing that step. After you give it a try, post exactly what parts tested ok and which part failed.

EDIT: I just realized you're using a 360. I outlined the way a normal Xbox tests your connection. Listen to what moojuice is saying. \/\/\/

Ok, I just checked on how to do it:
1.)GO to dashboard, go all the way to the right to the "System Blade"
2.)Go to "Network Settings"
3.)Go to "Test Xbox Live Connection"
4.)It will ask you to sign everyone out. Chose "Yes", and it will start running.
Under NAT at the very bottom, it should come up as "Open". "Strict" and "Moderate" can usually run games, but you wil have alot of dropped connections. On the other hand, port forwarding may work like others said, but I don't know anything about Xbox 360 ports.

Ok, I know what you're talking about. I've been to that area when I setup my 360 and DS connection. So I look for port forwarding and set it on?
So I look for port forwarding and set it on?
It's not really an on/off thing. You gotta know which ports you need to open first.
It's not really an on/off thing. You gotta know which ports you need to open first.
yep

this is why dmz hosting the 360 is easier

Sorry Steve and Ramo, I think I may still be having problems with my router and that is why you couldn't join. It doesn't really make sense that some people can connect and others can't. I've called D-Link several times and may just have to open all ports so I can get this working because it's really pissing me off. Anyways for all those I played with last night it was a blast, and I look foward to some more play the rest of the week as it's spring break for me and I'm too poor to go anywhere.

Hey Linkin Prime--By any chance are you using a D-Link router? I was having the exact same problems as you were but I opened some things and it seems to be working better right now just no flawlessly. If you need help I can help you out, you could just send me a private chat invite and I could walk you through what you need to do. Also you may need to update your firmware.

Hmm, isn't it possible just to open the certain group of ports? I was just going straight into my cable modem last night- but I'm going to try doing the same thing when I come home from work.

Problems may ensue.
So doing the DMZ hosting will tell me what ports to forward?
When a device is in a router's DMZ, it's on the "outside" of the router, and is pretty much open on all ports.

It's used when you don't care about a device's exposure on the Internet, and it's useful for fixing connection problems.

Since I doubt anyone would hack your Xbox 360, it's a good place to stick on the router. Not all routers do DMZing, depends on the router. Another reason to check the model # and look in the instructions.

Most routers do DMZing by IP address, so you'd need to pick a specific IP address for the DMZ device. Find out the IP address your Xbox 360 is using and put that in in the DMZ field. Other routers will allow you to pick the device from the DHCP client list and allow you to DMZ it by clicking on it in the client list.

Again, depends on the router.

Right'o I was just a little too lazy to type all that out ;)

Like I asked before though it would be really helpful if I had the model number and company of the router. I can't really advise anything more until I know that.

I'll update when I get home and get the info. I really suck at networking, tried taking classes and it just wasnt my thing. My bro who was a big shot tech for Linksys, he set up my network, If all else fails, I might have to figure out a way for him to come over and fix it. Thanks

Alright, I'll throw my "help me out" flag for this one.

Linksys WRT54G Firmware v2.02.7

I'm checking mine right now and it's under "Applicatiions & Gaming > DMZ"

Currently set to "Disabled" with an option to change the "DMZ Host IP Address" "192.168.1.x".

Question is do I set it to "Enabled" and what do I switch the "x" to and how do I find that value?

I'd say keep that DMZ disabled.

As for your firmware though. Go to your Router settings and turn UnPn to off. That firmware on that router is bunk.

Admin< Managment Then turn UnPn to off. Problem should be solved then.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/connect/linksyswrt54g.htm

Here is the info that MS states that That firmware is not working right.

Ok this is what my system has...

Linksys WAP11 - Accespoint, with a D-Link DWL-900AP+ firmware 2.2
Linksys EZXS55W - Switch

My bro setup the WAP11 with the D-Link firmware because he found out it would work better with it than with the Linksys one.

I went to the page with my settings and I couldnt find anything about port forwarding. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Found my problem. I ran a test on my X360 and its my NAT it set to Moderate. It says that if its moderate it will not let me connect with certain users. How to I change my NAT from Moderate to ...um not moderate?

EDIT2: found where to add ports and what ports to add. NAT still moderate.
Also found this out http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/homenetworking/equipment.htm
Looks like it might be better for me to upgrade to a router. I have a couple WRT54G's that I been meaning to sell on eBay but might have to use one and see how it goes. Thanks for all your help guys.

Good games tonight everyone who was in the room (I think we had 8 or 9 CAGs in a match at once for about 20-30 minutes tonight!) I can tell our clan will be pretty good so far.

yea i was in there for a bit, i was kinda annoyed by those dudes who kept yelling for their buddy asking if he was dead or not. Also, 14 people in a co-op map was a bit much. We should get a private room going and try out the other multiplayer stuff, i personally havent tried them yet.
Just got back from work. Anyone up for some games in a bit?
I'm up buddy- I'll be back from work in about 30 if you want to play.

Ack, sorry. I've been trying to troubleshoot my box. For some reason, all of a sudden its telling me the IP adress is taken from another device. I'll probably be on tommorow for a bit before I head out for work.

heading to the bars in a few, but should be back after call at 2 AM EST if anyone would be interested in playing a little late night co-op and/or territory.

Anyone else have connections issues with ranked games ? I have not been able top complete a single game. About 5 -7 minutes in I always get disconnected.Starting to really get on my nerves.

I haven't played any ranked games, but I have that happen to me in custom games.

Not as often as your problem, though. Some nights, 3 or 4 times; some nights, it never occurs.

OK, I've been playing the single-player mode enough to where I'm feeling confident abouut finally jumping into some MP action.
Since there's no clan option in GRAW (BOOO!!), I'm gonna be adding some of you guys to my friends list later on.

Hell, I hope any of you CAG old-schollers even remember me....I don't come here as much as I used to...
