I recently purchased a Dell Studio XPS 7100 with an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T + ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB. I've hooked it up to a 40" Sony 720p LCD rear projection tv, and to a 40" Sony 1080p LED tv. For both, I hooked it up using an HDMI cable. For both, the image doesn't stretch all the way to the edge. It leaves space on all four sides of the screen, almost like a second bezel.
I've tried google searching this issue, and it kept coming up as a scaling issue that should be easily fixed. When I access the ATI section of my "Display" options in Control Panel, I can't find anything to change.
My resolution is set to 1080p, but I'm not sure why it's not stretching all the way out to fill up the screen. Is my graphics card not capable of going as large as 40"?
