Sometimes it seems like there's a lot of posts about bad customer service. What about the opposite? Please share your tales of outstanding, amazing, wonderful, or otherwise just very good customer service. Let's show the businesses who've gone the extra mile for us some love!

I have one to start off with, though it doesn't involve a game purchase: Right Stuf has always given me decent customer service whenever I needed it, but the last time I ordered from them, one of their Customer Care reps did something awesome. The order I placed was pretty big, so what they did was bump me up to a yearlong Got Anime membership, which costs $12. This expense was covered by the membership's 10% discount on most of the items Right Stuf sells, including much of what was in the order I had just placed. In the end, the total cost of my order went down by over $5, plus now I can get 10% off future orders for a year!

Of course, I emailed the rep back with a quick thank you; it was the least I could do :)

You won't find too many people sharing "good" CS stories. Seems like no one on this site gets any of that.

I think for every positive experience there is always like 10 negative ones for me. I guess the last positive one I can remember was at Taco Bueno.

The young woman was actually so nice to my family that I felt awkward leaving. I was ready to leave a tip. I don't recall it being a custom in the U.S.A. to give gratuity to fast food places.

First, this woman had me convinced that she was enthusiastically willing to serve me at the order counter. Second, she appeared overly positive when I picked up my order to eat. Third, as my family left she was willing to bus my table.

Most employees that I'm used to would normally get mad/complain about having to do something that isn't required of them like a grocery store manager getting mad because she has to cashier.

Since I gave a positive one, I'm giving a recent negative one.
I've had more negative experiences lately with Toy's 'R Us.

They used to be so good to me ignoring me whenever I come to the store, which is fine. This time when I was willing to spend over $200 there, nobody seemed to want to help me.

There was nobody at the electronics section, so after waiting for about five minutes I went up front for help since I knew what I wanted and just wanted to be rung up.

The two employees at the one register didn't bother paging anyone after I asked/waited in line for help at one of the registers. She told me just to go wait after waiting for maybe less than ten minutes in line. So I went back to the electronics section for an ten additional minutes.

I left empty handed, wasted about half an hour, and upset that I figured waiting in line I would be the next to be helped only to be passed up for the person behind me up front.

I can understand if the store was really busy like on a weekend, but this was in the evening of a weekday. There was maybe a total of four or five customers at the front registers, counting myself and two registers going at the same time.

It will be a long time before I shop there or an incredibly good deal to get me to shop there again since this is the second consecutive negative experience at Toys 'R Us.

steam CS is shit and slow but i recently tried Origin and the CS was amazing. I bought Sims generations key off ebay and activated it on origin. A month later it was deleted. I used the instant chat to ask why it was gone, they told me the batch of games were stolen from the factory. I told them i bought it off ebay and without asking for proof they sent me a new key.

They can be rarities, but I also think people are more likely to complain about a bad experience more than they are to share a good one.

I just wanted a thread without so much teeth-gnashing, and also one where we can, in a roundabout way, recommend businesses that treat their customers well.

Bought Wrestlemania 21 for XBox a while ago. Encountered a game breaking glitch - I couldn't get past a certain point no matter how many times I rebooted the system. The disc was brand new. The store exchanged it - same problem (I guess my disc drive had issues reading the game - some games wouldn't work well with certain drives). I couldn't get a refund. Messaged THQ and they agreed to exchange it for any other game in their catalogue. Destroy All Humans was coming out soon, so I chose that - they sent it less than a week after the game was released. I thanked them profusely. They even did a followup three months later, said that they hoped I was enjoying the game and wished me happy holidays. I'm a loyal THQ customer for life.

This story is from a CAG deal when the Nintendo DSi XL Mario Kart bundle was on clearance for $125 @ Target. Here is the story from my post.

I had the best customer service at Target this morning. I decided to hit up this store when it opened to see if I could score one for this price. I looked at the case there was none to be found. I asked the guy working and he goes to check in the back. Of course he comes back empty handed. He tells me it shows IN STOCK but can't locate them. Well he tells me to leave my name and phone number and he will call me if he can find them. Not even 5 minutes after leaving my phone rings and they were found. I wasn't expecting a call back from the worker so I was really surprised. I called back to the store back to tell the manager about the great customer service.

He asked how many I wanted to buy so I guess they still have a few left.

I asked where he found them at and it was classic: They were hidden in the back room behind the
TV's.

****This is a very RARE experience especially @ TARGET*******
