Great day at pawn shop!

Well, I was out and about shopping today (looking for a mini-fridge for my dorm room), and i decided to stop by the local pawn shop. I noticed a lot of cars there, and I soon found out why. All of the DVD's were 3.00, and best of all, XBox/PS2/GC games were 2 for 5 bucks! (normally 10 bucks each! quite the discount) It was madness in the store. I managed to fight my way through the crowd and pick up:

The Terminal
Constantine
Shrek 2
The Last Samurai
Matchstick Men
The Pest
Any Given Sunday
The Scout
For Love of the Game

and for XBox:
First to Fight
Bicycle Casino
Enter the Matrix
LOTR: Return of the King
Full Spectrum Warrior
Raillisport Challenge 2
Splinter Cell
Tenchu: Return from darkness

total cost: 49.59 for 8 games and 9 DVD's....i still can't believe it. Strange thing is, normally the games are 10 bucks


there are 7 of these shops that are having the "summer sale" I checked 3 in my immediate area, and might go check out the other 4 tomorow morning. And to think I am supposed to be saving my money for college. ;-)

i think if u get any game for 2.50, as longas its not a sports game its not a bad deal. since u can generally flip it for more than that
 
You got 4 good games for 49.59 that can be all found for less than $20 ( MUCH less in some cases). You fail.

I second that.

I think Constantine, The Last Samurai, Full Spectrum Warrior and Splinter Cell were all pretty good finds.. I don't know about most of the other stuff, but I'm sure you can trade it off to someone or EB if they're as bad as everyone thinks.
 
He actually got 8 games for $20...that's a pretty good deal. I mean you get what you pay for but really now...Splinter Cell, Tenchu, Matrix, aren't that bad...same goes with Bicycle Casino if you like card games such as poker.

Wrong, sir. He got 8 games and 9 DVDs for $49.59. So what if they aren't what you'd consider good?

$2.50 a game is a pretty sweet deal in most cases. Considering how crowded the shop was imagine what some of the "earlier" shoppers got.
 
haha, thanks guys...I know my stuff isn't gold, never said it was. I generally try and go through games when I get them, so I'm sure I'll get my $20 bucks worth out of them. Rallisport 2 and First to Fight are worth 20 to me alone, so I'm really happy with my purchase. I went back today and picked up some more things, I got:

Spiderman 2
Play it to the Bone
A Man Apart
Miracle
LOTR:ROTK
Traffic
8 Mile

Go ahead and tell me that those movies suck, and I got ripped off. I still only spent 25 bucks on them ;)

That's true... hell, some of the good stuff he got makes up for the other stuff so basically it was like getting some stuff for free.:)
 
Id love to find a deal like that at my pawn shops... great deal

I am getting to the point where Id rather wait on buying new dvd releases for 17 bucks or so and waiting for their price drop at either a CC or BB dvd sale or waiting to find them at a pawn shop... have spotted alot of great movies for about 4 bucks at them as of late
