Great Deals at Blockbuster

I found some great deals at Blockbuster. The store that I went to was in Calgary, Bonavista location.

There is currently a buy 2 get 1 free used sale, and they dropped a lot of there prices. I only really looked at 360 games though.

I picked up the following:
The Club $14.99
Two Worlds $14.99
Kingdom Under Fire !Free!

And I bought Dark Messiah of MOM for $9.99 new!

Some other used deals:
Simpsons $7.99 (9.99 new)
Transformers $7.99
The Darkness $7.99
Jericho $7.99
Viva Pinata $4.99
Tons of kids games for cheap (Hairy Potter, Ratatouile, Cars, Party Animals - all around $7.99). I might go back and grab some of these.


And a lot of new games can be found for $10-20.

Hopefully this isn't old news, but I was there Tues night when they were putting the stickers on.

I looked for PS3 stuff. Didn't really find anything other than The Darkness for $7. But most of their used stuff come in a black generic case, and often are missing manuals and covers.

They did have a Playstation Eye for $32, which is $39 everywhere else. If it still that price when EyePet comes out, I may pick it up.

Stuff I picked up at BBV over the weekend

- Bully PS2 $5
- Tekken 5 $8
- PSP media Center $1
- PSP 2000 case $4
 
around burlington on the weekend i saw some good deals on various games...from memory, project gotham racing 3 was $5, virtua fighter 5 online was $10, clive barker's jericho was $8...orange box and gears of war were $25 each...that's what i remember off the top of my head. i picked up jericho and the orange box. i'm still waiting for turok to drop to the 10-15 range.

(all of that's for 360)

Orange box is $29.98 new now.

yeah, i saw that after i bought mine. one bb store i went to had the new copy priced at 39.99 while another had it at 29.99
 
I got:

1 x Just Cause Xbox 360 $4.99
 
I saw the best deal at BBV today... They were tossing empty XBox 360 game cases in the trash (my BBV uses clear plastic bags, so I could see them). I was tempted to ask if I could take them (there may have been PS2 or 3 cases in there too), but I was with the wife, sooo.... :lol:

But just a head's up if anyone needs cases, maybe you should keep your eyes peeled and ask the nicer BBV employees. Don't they sell these things on eBay too?

i bought a pv blu ray and a pv dvd today and the dude at the cash asked me if i wanted an actual blu ray case for it. i said sure and asked if he had any regular dvd ones for the dvd too. he said yeah, went to the back and brought me 3 or 4 of each blu ray cases and dvd cases. i bought another pv dvd at another store and asked for a normal dvd case and i got turned down, so it depends on the person, but if you get a nice guy or gal, ask. :)

I asked for some today and was told that I could not have some due to "loss prevention"

Didn't notice this thread, posted a thread about DMC4 being $24.99 on 360 there preowned.

Noticed a few decent ones while I was there. I found Wild Arms, Dot Hack 1, Dot Hack 2, all for $4.99 each, and Atelier Iris 3 for $14.99. For all you rpg fans :)
 
I don't think BBV changes their price based on whether games have instructions or not, although I could be wrong, but thats not a bad price for a decent PS3 game. :)

Picked up Atelier Iris 3 for $14.99, Street Fighter Anthology for $4.99, Xenogears 3 $4.99, GrimGrimoire $4.99, Shadow Hearts $4.99, dot hack 1 & 2 $4.99 ech, many others.
