MEDIA PLAY...
Sorry if this has been posted but they have a deal, "NEW TUESDAYS". You can trade in ANY 5 games for a Brand-New Release, but at the store by me lets you get any games. So I went to Gamestop and bought 20 games that are $4.99 and under and I trade them in at Media Play. I got DEF JAM Fight For NY, Burnout 3, and X-Men Legends. I'm using the 4th to get Donkey Konga. This is the best store ever! So that's around $25 for a brand new game.
 
I'm not sure about that but let me find out for you tomorrow and I will let you know definitely. But I trade in games like Extermination ($3.99 used at Gamestop) May Payne (GH) ($4.99 Used Gamestop) Sega GT 2002/JSRF ($2.99 Gamestop) and they took them all w/ no questions. So I spend around $85 after using the Gamestop Card savings to get $200 worth of games.
 
Just called Media Play--they have a computer that tells you what games are and aren't accepted...so basically you go in there and test your luck I guess...
 
At my Media Play, they go by what they have in stock for USED GAMES. They have jack crap... seriously that was the first Max Payne GH that they got. So I have it really good out here. You guys sould check yours out
 
Which Media Play is this? If it's somehow the one closest to me I might have to make the hour trip to pick up some games on a Tuesday in the near future.

Ah well. I was hoping for St. Cloud, MN, but just wishful thinking. Thanks, though. Anyone near the St. Cloud MP that could possibly check this out?
 
This sounds very much like a YMMV to me. I've got a feeling that the original poster's store isn't sticking to the official rules here. It's great for him, and anyone else who can shop at that store, but I've got a feeling that this isn't a widespread deal...
 
i just called my media play. dude on the phone said ANY ps2, gc, or xbox games they would take. 5 used for 1 new. i asked and he said that as far as he knew that all were doing it to promote their used game section.
 
Sega GT 2002/JSRF only counted as 1 game. But yeah it looks like every Media Play is doing it. This is the best ways to get new games... I mean who can beat $25 for a new game? Even that Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale at Toys R Us will be $33 each game.
 
I just called, and they said that they will take any game as long as their system "recognizes" it. I think I spelt that right...
 
This is dumb, I just called again today and they said the game had to be valued over $19.99 new! What BS they make over $100 every time. Bleh!
 
LoL That sucks for you man... I'm sorry! The store here is awesome... I traded in stuff like the Mark of Kri and Auto Modellista. I even traded in Spawn Armageddon and they took it.

they sell bloodrayne for 40 new so maybe they go by the prices they have marked, lol.

Cool, I always hit up the Media Play stores in Colorado Springs when I'm out that way :)
