Green Man Gaming (Steam) Deals: 25% Off Hitman

Not waiting this time, this is the cheapest Fuel has been anywhere and even if it hits 75% off on Steam, it's only a difference of 23 cents. :applause:love gmg and their 20% discount on top of sales coupons.
I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but Toilet Tycoon is also back on sale.
I think it was $2 on Amazon. Amazon's version was DRM-free. This requires CRAPsule.
I have FUEL, but I've actually never downloaded or installed it. :whistle2:X

Despite buying that Codemasters Racing Pack (DIRT, DIRT 2, FUEL, GRID, TOCA Race Driver 3) back when it was DIRT-cheap (pun intended) on Steam (I think it was like $10-20), I basically so far only have played DIRT 2 from the bundle.
Yeah - DIRT 2 is freaking awesome.

I know, I know - I really should try GRID, one of these days...

EDIT:

I really loved DIRT 2.

So, is DIRT 3 much different than DIRT 2?
Any better or worse in any regards?

I have Overlord 1 & 2 in retail boxes.
I did play some of Overlord 1, but never finished it - liked Overlord 1 a lot (from what I played oif it); probably bought something else around that time; moved onto other game(s); & never got back to Overlord 1.
I never touched Overlord 2.
Oh man, I was skeptical when that Codemasters racing pack ran, so I only picked up Dirt 2 then. They haven't run it since. :bomb: I've since picked up Dirt 1 (steam), GRID (non-steam), FUEL (today), and thank for reminding me I'm still missing TOCA Race Driver 3 .
Edit: NVM, I did hunt down a non-steam copy of TOCA.

If you loved Dirt 2, I'm sure you'll find GRID similarly enthralling.

I don't love Dirt 3 as much as I love Dirt 2, though in time that may change. It's not fundamentally different -- and that's a good thing. (Esp after looking into the Dirt Showdown reviews again today.)

The Overlord 1's Raising hell expansion supposedly fixes some pathing issues in base overlord, some other fixes, and add four new demon-mouth areas. I finished Overlord 1/Raising Hell in over 40 hours (though I just had a lot of fun smashing up things). I'm sure you never discovered, "New Sheepies!!!" I played a couple hours of Overlord II and it seemed like more of the same, in a good way.
And if you hate Gymkhana, get Dirt 2 ;)

While I can't remember what gymkhana races were like, I feel the same way about landrush, etc.
At first I hated the Gymkahana stuff, but after a while I grew to like it. Creative expression in a racer! I had similar feelings about Landrush, and some of the other truck/buggy races in Dirt 2, but in time I grew to like them.

Ignoring prices: GRID > DiRT 2 > FUEL.
Considering prices: DiRT 2 > GRID > FUEL.

Christ I'm pissed at GMG right now. I didn't get a Darkness 2 key when I preordered Bioshock Infinite and I was going to completely let that go (mostly since I honestly had no idea I was supposed to have gotten a key for that one), but they also still have not given me my $14 back which was also part of the deal.

I opened a support ticket about the $14 on Wednesday and was supposed to have heard back from them within 24 hours. Still haven't heard a god damn thing.

Also they posted that they knew there were a small amount of people who did not receive their darkness 2 keys, but that they have since issued keys to all those they believe were effected. Well they're mistaken because I havent heard a thing from them. Like I said I didn't even really give a shit about it until they apparently decided it was ok to fuck me out of $14.

Woof.

I'll give it another 12 hours and file a paypal dispute I guess.

A bit impulsive if you ask me. I get that you're mad, and they should have had it right the first time, but their support is usually really good at solving any issues you may have. Send them another ticket informing them of your situation and wait it out. Play some BSI and take a chill pill bro, the issue will be resolved within the week if you do it that way.

Well I see they said they're having issues and such but that irritated me too since they said they'll get to the "very small minority" of cutomers who had issues. That's a bullshit thing to say from my perspective. If I am in the "very small minority" then why is there a hold up?

I'd understand if they said they have a single monkey working on hundreds or thousands of issues, but they didn't so I don't understand and am irritated.

Here's what they said in their knowledge base on the Bioshock bundle key issues:
Hi all,

The launch of BioShock Infinite has been a huge event for us and we are busy working through all remaining customer support requests in respect to all issues people are encountering. We are aware that a small amount of customers are having problems with receiving or activating their keys for Bioshock Infinite, or any of the bundled games X-COM, Darkness II, Spec-Ops The Line, BioShock and BioShock 2.

We fully understand customers frustrations in respect to this issue and apologize for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are working as hard as possible to rectify each and every issue as soon as possible.

Please bear with us as we work through tickets, we really appreciate your patience.

All tickets will be answered.

We request that customers please do not create duplicate tickets (as this slows down the process of us answering them)

To reiterate we are working through this tickets and your request will be answered as soon as possible!

We are still working to help out the very small minority of customers still affected by payment and key distribution issues - thank you all for your continued patience in this matter.

Best Regards,

GMG Customer Service

I didn't pre order, but I did do the 14 dollars back. Purchased Tuesday, 14 back in my account Thursday. If you are that worried about the 14 probably shouldn't have bought the game. It will get there.

Is that really true? I've heard the stories of how impulsive and violent console peasants are, but I wasn't entirely sure if they were really true.

I also read on Facebook that they were going to single out one bloke to really fuck with. I thought they were joking. Maybe they weren't.

Just a heads up about AVWW, a lot of people were able to use a keygen to get a key that actually activated on Steam (these were actual retail keys being generated, so if it belonged to somebody already, whoever used the keygen may have inadvertently stolen someone else's key). The problem here is the algorithm that they use to generate keys. The key is a string of numbers without the use of letter, which makes it less secure. Bad design choice on their part which happened with one of their previous games as well (the name is escaping me, but it's the one in the "space" setting).

There was a flood of "key drops"/"giveaways" when this was found out, and as a result many were "tricked" into registering generated keys without knowledge of where they came from. Steam/Valve and the developer did nothing to reverse/prevent this, at least to my knowledge.

I believe this was only for the retail version's cd keys being compromised, so if you're getting a Steam key, then you're fine.

To put the icing on the cake, anyone who owned (including those who "stole" keys) were given the sequel free of charge.

Just something to keep in mind when you're buying this game. It's a bit worse that knowing that a game you're buying could be pirated by others (something I can live with). But knowing that people can illegitimately obtain legitimate copies of the game is a big no-no when it comes to buying games for me.

Just an update on the support ticket I opened about not getting my cash back from the bioshock infinite pre-order. Here's the response I got.

Hi,
Thanks for your ticket. Sorry to hear you have not yet received your cash back. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it now. Please rest assured, you will receive your money soon.
Thanks for your patience,

RE6 PC requires STEAM everywhere period.
After DMC (2013) PC, Sven (of Capcom USA) has said he is going to try to keep PC versions requiring Steam.
I'm gonna see if I can find that post from Capcom Unity boards...

EDIT:
Here's the post from Christian Svensson (AKA Sven) of Capcom USA that I was looking for...

Jan 20, 2013 -- 1:46PM, Professor Icepick wrote:

Are we even sure that the jump from GfWL to Steamworks is even permanent? I thought it was just a test-run for the time being: a rare case of CoJ showing the vaguest glimmer of competence, before reverting to form in no time flat by the time the next Capcom game that, by some untold miracle, manages to get a PC version.
Sven of Capcom:

Actually, I directed the change. While "permanent" is far too inflexible a word to use, for the titles I've been involved with (which is the most but not all of PC projects in the company), it's the approach we're going with for the forseeable future.

I'd rather have NO DRM over both. :p

GMG just put a bunch of its complete packs on sale today:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/complete-packs/

Most of these could probably be found cheaper elsewhere when on sale (i.e. the two Batman games for $24.99 isn't a great deal), but the Patrician pack, the Tropico 4 complete bundle, and the Gothic bundle (alas, with Capsule DRM instead of Steam keys) all seem to be solid deals, especially if the 20% off code applies to them.

My buddy pre-ordered Bioshock Infinite from GMG. He got a Spec Ops key and nothing else, so he put in a ticket and waited along with everyone else. Here we are a week later and they finally replied. They refunded his money and say they won't honor the deal. They've done some pretty crappy customer service this go around in my eyes.

I don't know why, but I want the Port Royale 3: Harbor Master DLC.

Wish the DLC was also on sale individually for those of us who already own the base game - why can't they just sell it to me for $3 ? :headache:

Also, their mailer says: "Valid until 1600UTC 08/04/2013" - almost five days from now.

Alright, thanks, guess there are some things it doesn't work with. Or maybe it's not valid for Canada...

Also, should the price drop show once you apply the code?

Edit: Got it, it only works for certain items.
What game did it not work on?
Bioshock Infinite Season pass. It worked for BL2 season pass, figured it would for Bioshock 2 as well. The game is on discount for 99cents though, guess that's why it won't work.

Also, the code can only be redeemed once, correct?

Edit: Here is also a 25% voucher that hasn't been posted. GMG25-S0FSG-R7Z9B

Kind of on the fence with that one. Metro 2033 was pretty good from what I heard. Using the voucher and my 15$ store credit, I can get the pre order for 22$ which is a damn good price. It won't come out until May though...
Any thoughts on Confrontation? The cheap price has me interested even though it's probably due for another price drop soon.
I'm also interested in this one, I always see it during Steam sales but I've never really heard any opinions on it. As far as the price, even if it does get a drop I doubt it'll go to this low for a while after (w/ 20% off coupon it's like 89% off.)

Also, I'm going to be that guy and say I wish Freedom Force activated on Steam.
Oh. Derp.
It's still cheaper her after coupon than it will ever be on Steam (75% off of $20 and lately they are stingy with that too).

Of course, Amazon might have some Focus bundle pop out of nowhere with a million games for $9.99.

I'd say see if you like Metro 2033 first. Especially since you can get it for like a quarter in trade threads since so many free keys were given out. Some people love it some hate it.
