Grim Fandango: where, and how much?

If you can found it for $10, then don't hesitate to get it. That's a steal. Not just because it's starting to get scarce, but it's a true classic as well and worth every penny.

Dude... i'd take a 2nd copy for $10 to get a sealed version. (Like my original C&C

I found a new CD jewel case on ebay a couple of years ago. I know it is getting harder to find now and this game needs to be released for the DS.

It is also a pain to install it in Windows XP. I had to go into safe mode to actually install the game, but once I got through the troubles, it is one amazing game. This game really has some great dialogue and music. You are going to have a blast playing through it!

$10 is an awesome deal for this game, buy it!

I never understood the praise this game got. It's pretty good, but older Lucasarts graphic adventures like Monkey Island 1 and 2 and Sam and Max are so much better. 3D graphics be damned!

LucasArts has always made good games. Maniac Mansion / Day of the Tentacle anyone? :)

I love all those older Lucasarts games, too, but for me, Grim Fandango tops them all. Just a matter of preference I guess.

Agreed. While in theory I can agree with what that one guy said about 3D graphics being unnecessary in a point and click adventure, I felt that was more true of Monkey Island 4 where the blocky graphics betrayed the slick cartoony style of the earlier games in the series. But since Grim Fandango is going for an art deco style, the blocky graphics actually enhance the visual style. After nearly a decade, I'd still say that it's one of the finest looking games ever made, and the script is easily my favorite of any videogame (Full Throttle and Psychonauts would be runners up).

Edit: I just did a search for it and holy crap has it gotten expensive. Last I checked (years ago) Lucasarts was selling thier classics for $10 a piece, but apparently even those have gone the way of the dinosaur. Almost makes me want to buy a backup copy just in case, if you know what I mean. I bought it the weekend it came out for $30 and it came with promotional copies of Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle. Ah... those were the days.

As a general question where exactly can this game be found other than through the normal eBay, half.com, etc. channels?

Last I checked the LucasArts site itself no longer sold copies so does anyone know of any chain stores that are known to still have copies in circulation?

Any help is very appreciated.

That's pretty much what I figured; just wasn't sure if maybe there was some situation like Fallout 1 and 2 where there were packs still floating around here and there.
