According to the Steam store page the Valhalla edition includes:

Valhalla Armor Set: These unique in-game items are an armor set the hero can collect in the course of their journeys. Combined together these artifacts give additional a strong boost to the character’s attributes.
Digital artwork and wallpapers. Digital bonuses: Ultra-high resolution artwork depicting an epic battle of Olaf and the Valkyries against undead hordes, and wallpapers available in all popular desktop resolutions.

An upgrade costs $2.99 on Steam.

I don't think the Valhalla edition is a big deal, but I love that it's being bundled.  Unfortunately I already own WotN as KB is one of my favorite series.  I just hate that in this version it's next to impossible to get off the first island with no losses.

Hm. I pumped something like 50 hours into the first game and got stuck. I haven't touched the sequels but I've gotten the impression that all of these games are ones where the difficulty curve has a 90-degree angle.

Got from a bro who got it in the other bundle.  Nothing special unless you really love the KB series and absolutely must have more.  I stopped after about twenty hours.  The differences are barely noticeable.

The next bonus is King's Bounty: Warriors of the North Valhalla Edition. The non-Valhalla edition (whatever the hell that means) was in the KISS bundle $5 tier, so I'm sure many don't have it. Plus it has caaaaardzzz.

And thanks for the heads up on Fester Mudd - no idea what it is but I sure do love redeeming Steam keys!
Held out on WotN, knowing that all the previous KB games have been bundled to death. Hooray a bonus game I actually want!

I guess I'm the resident aficionado of the series, then. I have 200 hours each in Legend and Crossworlds. Best bang for the buck in my account, and I bought them before they started being bundled all the time.

They definitely get a lot easier once you get yourself on a good path on the skill tree and figure out a few solid strategies. I had a couple games early on where I got stuck and had to start over. What was the sticking point for you?

The differences are subtle, but there. I had my fill after 200 hours of the Legend and haven't gone back to it. I wouldn't have been able to get so much mileage out of the sequel if it was exactly the same. I'd say they changed just enough (and I skipped Armored Princess). For me the jury is still out on WotN as I've only got about 15 hours in and am waiting for a patch to be able to play the way I want. But these games do scratch a certain itch for me. They're rare games where I have no complaints about any aspect of them, and can while away the hours without it feeling like a waste of my time.

Thanks for the advice but I Restarted Steam and my PC and they are still there...Ugggh hopefully they'll just disappear.
I might have spoken too fast. These "Steamapps" are harder to miss when you have like 50 of them. My backlog is not quite big enough yet. brb, I am going to go buy some bundles!

Wish I could tell you. This was quite a few years ago. I gather from talking to folks after I abandoned it that I had too many armies get decimated so I wasn't powerful enough. I reached a point where I got to some island where every enemy or neutral group I encountered was ludicrously overpowered relative to my armies.

You didn't have enough gold to buy a whole new army? If you were trying to minimize losses in each battle, you should have ended up with way more gold than you could ever spend, even if you bought all the artifacts at every shop. If you ran out of gold then there was definitely a strategic problem in your approach to the battles.

damn Warren, he just said you sucked. ;)

Haha, when I got stuck on my first playthrough, it was probably at about the same point. For me I think it was because I made the wrong choices on the skill tree. Or, just as likely, I hadn't understood the game's mechanic of getting access to hard areas as early as possible, avoiding the creeps and picking up the loot (especially leadership flags), and coming back to an earlier area fully stocked and armed to the teeth. Or both of these. Knowing a few crucial spell/unit combinations helps too. I definitely resorted to Google for help on more than one occasion!

A Walk in the Dark Steam keys are available on your Groupees profile if you bought it from BAGB3.
This is the only Greenlight bundle I missed, due to being out of the country for work while it was going on, and now I think this is the second game that's been greenlit from it! Boooooooooo.

A Walk in the Dark isn't half bad. It may look like a Limbo clone at first, but it's not.. only thing similar to Limbo is the art style. Gameplay is like Super Meat Boy. The controls could be more polished though, they need to be tighter. They're too loose IMO.

Argh, this sounds like something I will hate for the gameplay and love for the story. Damn you, stupid platformer games with interesting stories about cats! :headache:

spoder, refresh my memory--did you have the same opinion about the controls in Trine? Because this is how I felt about Trine and I loathed it.

I didn't mind Trine's controls. They were really floaty, but it fit with how the puzzles were designed. A Walk in the Dark's controls aren't floaty but they feel a tad bit unresponsive to me. That's what I meant by loose. In comparison, Super Meat Boy's controls are a lot tighter. I'm not sure if A Walk in the Dark has much of a story, it doesn't seem like it.

I got the impression there was a story based on the trailer. The trailer also looked dubious in terms of gameplay--it almost looked like some of the "jump" controls had to be toggles in order for the cat to stay in the air for that period of time and to duck and weave around the stalactite- and stalagmite-looking things.

Steam keys for Earth 2150, Knights and Merchants: The Peasants Rebellion and World War 3: Black Gold have finally been added to the Groupees Topware bundle.

Also, Steam keys for Survivor Squad have been added to Bundle of the Damned 2 (already posted in the Steam deal thread).

Neuro gave me a K&M Steam key recently so if anyone passed on this bundle and would like my key just send me a PM.

Thanks again Neuro!

Edited: Key is gone now.

For some reason I didn't get BAGB 3. Usually I kick in at least $1 knowing there will probably be some Steam keys later.

So I've seen posts a few times about missing files from people's Groupees accounts, but never really looked at my account to see exactly how many things were unavailable. I don't recall seeing if anyone in Groupees chat other otherwise had mentioned what the status on fixing this stuff is. Has Johnny or anyone said anything about missing games/soundtracks?

All the game downloads should be up by now, but aside from that... no. It has been over 6 weeks now since the "crash" afaik, and the music and soundtracks are still mostly missing with no ETA.

There also hasn't been any notable progress in weeks.

I actually wanted to listen to some music...i bought the chiptunes one...and am kind of sad I don't have the downloads...fix this mr cappuccino!

I've bought almost every Groupees bundle (I think I have over 60 by now) and I *always* download the music as soon as a bundle is over. Same for games that are not available from another source (so if they give me a Desura key, I don't bother, but if there's only a DRM-free copy on Groupees, I download that as well). Same for other "single-source" bundles.

I don't. I may need to start doing so, however.

I do occasionally download the music when it looks interesting to me. I should do it more often..

Personally, I'm still debating the higher tier here. Not sure if it is worth the extra $4.

So, any thoughts on bmx upper tier games? I still don't think is worth $5...
I've had a Gamersgate copy of CoJ backlogged for ages. From what I've read about the first game, it's a decent Western shooter where you switch between two main characters, a young kid who runs around with a bow and his grizzled old uncle with the more conventional six-shooter. Apparently the parts where you control the former are loaded with often-frustrating stealth sequences.

Face Noir sounds great if you like noir stories and adventure games. If you don't, well . . .

Legends of Dawn is apparently a fairly bug-ridden RPG from an indie dev. The dev is continuing to patch it, so if you're going to backlog it and are a big fan of RPGs, the second tier is a no-brainer. However, the fact that it's appearing here and the dev has already discussed plans for a sequel suggest that it's probably nearing the end of its support cycle, so take that for what it's worth.

IMO, Finding Teddy doesn't look like anything special. If nothing here grabs you, you may want to wait and see what the mystery game is next week.

I made around $4 off the Call of Juarez and Face Noir cards.
I was looking at the current prices, they've dropped a fair bit since the bundle buyers flood of cards, but as soon as that stock depletes, it looks like the prices slopes pretty quickly back up to good values.

Yeah, the good prices on cards didn't even last the night when the bundle went live. New bonus is some music stuff, but hoping one of the last two bonuses will be a game.

Ah Jazz and PID added as bonuses to Be Mine X. Very nice....i was sad I didn't get Jazz from another bundle looks fun. PID I got from another sale but looks like a solid puzzle game as well.

Trump's Journey is a pretty good little platformer with great music and cute graphics which gets pretty hard towards the end. It's a bit unpolished but definitely a good game.

I've had PID near the top of my backlog for ages now but still haven't managed to get to it - I now own it 3 or 4 times...

Pid again? Come on, Groupees, you can do better than that. :oldman:

A new PC/Android bundle page is up, called "Marmalade Play".

http://groupees.com/marmalade

Starts in 15 hours.
Given what Marmalade actually is, it looks like this won't have any particularly good PC games in it.
