No, Sherlock. Elementary is a horrible attempt to cash in on its popularity. They approached the makers of Sherlock to get the rights to do a US remake, who didn't want them to do it until the series had ended, so they were like "Yeah, well... we're gonna go make our own Sherlock! With blackjack! And hookers! In fact, forget the Sherlock!"

And then they changed things just so they'd be 'different'. "Look, our show is entirely original! Our Watson is female! And we randomly have Sherlock's dad in a role that totally wasn't planned to be Mycroft!"
I think you're selling the US Sherlock show short.

It's pretty entertaining and a decent cut above most network dramas.

Obviously it's a far fucking cry from the BBC Sherlock, but there's no reason to shit all over it, either.
Someone broke groupees the bundle is currently down.
Yeah, just redirects to the homepage and doesn't show up in the active bundle list.
The bundle was free during the first minute it went live.. so I got the full bundle for free.. lol

It's fixed now, of course ;)
Lucky you. The buy button is broken and it won't even let me buy the damn thing.

Check your profile page, you may've gotten it for free. The same thing happened to me, the total said $0, I hit the buy button.. redirected to the homepage and it showed up on my profile.

I'll take them ;) I mean since Groupees won't let me buy the damn thing and all >.<

Just so people know I click on all seven games. It says $4.50 is the minimum. I put any price that $4.50+ and the buy button remains transparent and doesn't work. Bah Humbug!

Update: It lets me buy any other bundle just fine . . . just wtf Groupees? This is my just my luck.
Any Sherlock game from this bundle has Tages DRM?
Not sure about the games on Steam, they don't appear to have any CD keys listed in my library, but I haven't installed any yet.

All of the games in the bundle come with DRM-free downloads on Groupees though.

According to the "big list" only vs Jack the Ripper has TAGES. However, The Testament has ACTControl (seems like the successor to TAGES), and The Awakened supposedly has inert SolidShield present.

Jack the Ripper is most likely going to be the 2nd or 3rd bonus. Shifty said there will be more "keys", and there's only one more Frogwares game on GOG. That can only mean that Jack the Ripper will be one of the bonuses.
Most of the other games are supposed to be similar and got pretty decent reviews. The only exception is Hound of the Baskervilles which didn't get great reviews and is apparently mostly a hidden object game with a really outlandish story that has only a marginal connection to the original.
This is the specific review I was referencing on HotB.

I'm assuming since there are 3 bonuses that we can expect another Dracula to turn up, then.

On a side note, I keep forgetting that these things exist on Desura. They look pretty cool.

Nah, I'm thinking the next 2 bonuses are Journey to the Center of the Earth and Jack the Ripper. I don't think Frogwares has anymore games on GOG or Steam, but if you can find any let me know.

There's this.

These Frogware Sherlock games look ok....may get it but not sure yet. The newest Testament of Sherlock Holmes looks excellent though it wont be included for sure. I'll keep an eye on this since it's a short bundle time.

I have all these on Steam already, except for the Baskervilles hidden object one, but I guess I'll pick that up as well as get the Silver Earring for the GOG code. I don't have the other Dracula game that's the first bonus, so that'll work.

Journey to the Center of the Earth is the new bonus at 3500 bundles. Not sure if I will get in on the bundle or not, as looking into them, HotB is the only one I imagine ever playing:whistle2:k

Well, this is the cheapest it's likely to ever be, even if it is the only one you're interested in.
Clue 4- Man?
There has also been some indecipherable drawing added to the scribble area.
The bundle goal was also lowered from 1,000,007 bundles to 620,030 bundles.

FWIW ShiftySlug said he knows the game, and the hints make no sense to him LOL

Jonny had to explain how the hints relate to the game for them to make any sense at all to him.

LOL

Can't say I'm surprised. But this does underscore my feeling that trying to guess that final game is a fool's errand. I'm just gonna wait and see what it turns out to be. We'll probably find out in a day or two, so it shouldn't too long of a wait.

Good to know most of them are not hidden object games
Very tempting to pick up the whole Sherlock bundle

I owned several of these, but not on Steam so definitely worth picking up. Loved Jack the Ripper if that one gets added and Testament was also great though probably too new to get added as a bonus.

I think that hideous drawing in Jonny's art from today might be a baby.. which would be another hint for Stealth Bastard. The baby being a reference to "bastard" child.

The "Man" hint could refer to "Hiding from The Man" in the Stealth Bastard description.

EDIT: I might be wrong about the drawing, apparently it's supposed to be in the game..

Just an FYI on the Sherlock bundle, I'm probably going to bite for a bit more than usual because 100% of your purchase actually goes to charity instead of the usual 10-20%. I know people have varying opinions about this subject, but if you think it's a decent charity it's probably worth ponying up a bit more.

Don't go breaking my heart spoder. I'm hoping for Stealth Bastard.

Thanks for pointing that out! I've been hemming and hawing about this bundle. I'm sure it's a good deal for some decent (even good) games, but I don't see myself getting around to any of these... anytime [/randomTimeDescriptor]

But we don't buy games to play them here; we buy them because they are cheap.
Clue 5- “Indie”
And there have been a couple of red box like things added to the scribble area.
The "indie" hint is a repeat, but wasn't posted in the bonus description before.. pretty disappointing. It was posted in the chat a few days ago :whistle2:(

It just occurred to me that there might be another reason why they aren't allowed to tell us what the game is. Maybe it's been in a bundle recently, and the game has some sort of exclusivity contract in place with the other bundle which is about to run out.

Have there been any promises that this is a new, unbundled game in the chat that anyone can recall?

I don't remember any such promises being made, I highly doubt it's been bundled before though.

The only promise that might come close is them saying Blades of Time was the only bundle repeat, but I think that may have only applied to the featured games, not the bonus games.

Played a couple of them in the past, not bad adventure games. Definitely going to get in on this, now I'll have them in my Steam library. Interested as well to know what the next bonus game will be.
But we don't buy games to play them here
Ugh. That mantra makes me want to conceal my identity so I'm not seen posting here. Carry on. :puke:
