Well, I feel like gambling.  Even if Greenlight is 90% sewage.

Plus, I forgot to buy the last one cause I'm a dunce.

Not much point to preordering. You only save 50 cents and you miss out on being able to split up your bundles to get multiple sets of bonuses.

Greenlight bundles don't really have the appeal they used to for me, now that Valve doesn't seem to be doing huge batches of titles anymore. Plus I've got games from bundles that have been greenlit for quite a while, but still haven't released on Steam.

Unless they revealed the price without me noticing (seems unlikely, I didn't see any admins announcing anything in the chat), that may not be true.

The last Groupees greenlight bundle was over $3 if you wanted all of the games.

Crap, its only a 50 cent discount? I screwed up.
Nah, we don't know that yet. For all we know the full bundle could be over $2 when it goes live.

It's a toss up, since a lot of BaGBs are a quarter a game. Not really worth it either way.

4 of the 10 greenlight bundles were 2 dollars

1.50 seems cheaper than all 10 if my math is right.
Exactly, 40/60 sounds like the definition of a toss up to me.

Considering most of the games offered are probably going to be garbage that may or may not be Greenlit and may or may not even come with Desura keys, I don't see the point in panic-buying into Groupees' new scheme that's basically making you buy a possibly shitty bundle site unseen.

Perhaps other people buy all their games together in these BaGBs, but I don't, since the bonuses are frequently better than what's in the bundles. That puts a lot more value into buying the few games you actually want separately so that you get multiple copies (and future Steam keys) of the bonuses.

For example, say there are 4 games you want out of an 8 game BaGB. Regardless whether the games are 25 or 50 cents each, splitting up your bundle still works out better, since you're going to be paying roughly the same amount versus the preorder since you won't be paying for games you don't want (and are often utterly crap and useless to own), AND you're getting multiples of the bonuses, which are often where the value lies.

Perhaps I'll be totally wrong, and the bundle will be an outrageous price and full of ridiculously good Greenlight games, all of which everyone wants. This is Groupees though, so pardon me if I have my doubts about that.

I don't argue that preordering is going to be the cheapest route to getting all the games. That's obvious. The question lies whether there's going to be any point to getting all the games and giving up extra sets of bonuses.

TL;dr

1.50 is cheaper

Gonna go ahead and reserve this one for $1.50.  If groupee's wants to use this method of reserving in the future, they need to prove (at least on the first one) that they can deliver a decent selection of games for the price they're asking.  If they don't I doubt people will dive in blindly again on the next one.

well, let's start a new CAG bundle. I will gather 10 old flash game/web games and sell you for only $1.25. No, buyers can't know what title it is, how long it has been in development. You draw up a bundle site, I go advertise this bundle to the Reddit crowd --> MASSIVE PROFIT! :D/

p.s. seriously, guys... asking people to pre-order products sight UNSEEN is the massive bull that I've ever witnessed in the business world and ONLY GAMERS can tolerate such BS. Other people will throw chairs at the sellers

Same here I am shamed....and wont likely do it again...but after looking at the other bundle with orc farts....somehow my finger automatically clicked to buy this one.

Groupees is starting to play into my weaknesses. Assuming there are 8 games in this bundle, I will most likely only like 25% of them. Of the 2 that I like, there is at most a 50% shot each will get a steam key. I will probably already own the one that got the steam key. Leaving me with almost certainly nothing that I want from this bundle. I AM IN!

I would've been tempted, but the Greenlight bundle Steam key success rate is all over the place. But darn it all, these games might not ever appear in another bundle.

If Groupees hadn't found out about their website purchasing loophole, we'd all be having a good laugh about "pre-orders". Wait, we already are.
