SO.... Who regrets their pre-order(s)?
Nope. I would have gone Ionball 2 and Egg Returns Home on the Tuesday mostly because I want the bonuses. It would have been nice to see at least one more non-repeat. That's a push.

The Steampunk is probably better than I expected, mostly as I didn't think it'd have more than two or three games of any sort. All of the Steampunk bundles have been worth it only if you like the non-game stuff, and this one is no different.

I was just about to preorder the Steampunk bundle last night and decided not to encourage their preorder system by jumping in blind.  I still might get it depending on the bonuses, but I'm glad I haven't jumped in yet.

And I totally feel the pain for everyone who bought the Ion Robots one, because at least the Steampunk one has a chance of decent bonuses.  You can already see exactly what you got with Ion Robots.

Steampunk looks like a waste of money (unless the music is any good - haven't checked yet.)

Tuesday bundle is still up in the air: I'm pretty sure I have Not The Robots from another bundle, but I can't figure out where (IGBWiki is rubbish these days)... if I do, this was a waste of $0.60, but I think it was worth the $1 if I don't .

Pre-ordered both of these and the one from last week. I am now 0-3. I am done with the pre-orders, unless the one game in the bundle that they give a hint to is a must have.

To everyone that regrets their "reserves"..

If you had just asked yourselves WWSD, you wouldn't be living with that regret.

spoderman would have spoder'd the games and we wouldn't be able to do that because spoderman would have beat us to it.

Saved a buck by preordering the steampunk bundle and saved a buck by skipping the tuesdayish bundle. I'm satisfied.

Also: Bad Hotel might be the worst game I have ever played.

If anyone doesn't want Not the Robots...about the only one I want from that bundle and will gladly take a key.
If you still need it, my stupidity is your gain.

Also, on Steampunk - city of steam arcadia, nothing is showing up for me. No key or download link. Have they not put it up yet?

Caved in on both bundles and pulled out my $2... boys, you were absolutely right: they're absolutely two of the worst Groupees of all times this side of Indie Royale. Never, ever, ever again...

To wash away my sins, I'll gift away Bad Hotel (Steam)Face Noir (Steam and Desura), Not The Robots (Steam), Admiral Nemo (Desura) and Bret Airborne (Desura), so if anybody wants to try the intoxicating charm of these great looking games hit me up with a PM...

Edit: I'm hitting the bed in a few minutes, but I'll make sure to send your gifts first thing in the morning.

It's Tower Defense. My wife loves Tower Defense. I'm redeeming it on her account. Still can't really call that a win, though.
Your wife is in for a treat, then... I've also got all achievements. Its most irritating feature is that there are some nice touches here and there, but the tremendous lack of polish made the experience almost unbearable.

I also wrote a review, if you're interested: http://steamcommunity.com/id/elgardloyalar/recommended/231720/

I am proud to say that I didn't preorder a single one of Groupees bundles. Too smart for them.

Though I might have refused to do so because I was mad they fixed their "buying previous bundles" backdoor before I could buy the first Doujin bundle.

Holy Toledo I want my Steampunk 3 dollar back. Eh, at least I got some music for it.

Not touching the Sometimes Tuesday bundle, 'cause ew.

Well, in my defense gotta admit that the past 2 Groupees were decent, maybe filled with repeats but packed quite a punch for a buck: first one had Jamestown, Naval Warfare, Vessel and Greed Corp., while the second came with both episodes of Syberia (which sit right along the best graphic adventures ever made) and Bionic Dues, plus the less enjoyable Steel & Steam and the utterly confusing Airship Dragoon (the latter got Steam keys a month ago... dat +1), so I bet on their good intentions... and lost miserably.

No excuses on (Sometimes) Tuesday, though: past Tuesdays were all horrible and this one greatly preserved the tradition... I really don't know what I expected...

Not too great but not too bad $1 bundles. I didn't have Ionball2, Bad Hotel or Power-Up from the Tuesday and the Steampunk has a few games that look interesting and could throw up a cool bonus yet.

I agree that most of the Tuesday bundles have sucked, but some of them were good. I think the Paradox Effect bundle was the best so far

Every day I ask myself, What Would Scooby Doo?

The answer is usually, "Whine, run away, and consume cardiac-arrest-inducing amounts of fattening human food." Some days it's "dry-hump Daphne's leg."

But I don't see how any of this would help with Groupees pre-order dilemmas.

Why that getting hacked sounds like bullshit excuse?

Why would they keep keys sent to other sites on internet accessible computers?

Why they did try to hide it and not announce anything?

etc.

Common sense says that if they won't show you what you're buying and it only costs a buck... it's a lot of trash. The worst possible thing that could happen is if I'm wrong and then everyone will be inclined to open his or her wallet whenever Groupees says, "Give me a dollar"
I'm kind of a big fan of seeing what I'm buying. This had poopies written all over it.

No more, people! Show 'em who's boss!

I'll be honest. I almost certainly would have ended up throwing a buck at the Tuesday and two at the Steampunk if I hadn't preordered. (Well, the Steampunk would have been iffy at $2.) I probably would have ended up spending around $2 on the Build-a-Greenlight. I'm fine with the preorders, but that has to be taken in context.

It does because it's an easy excuse to make.

Stupidity / hosted "solution" of some kind / Steam account email compromised.

Stupidity / preoccupied with damage control (especially if ^^^)

Kind of how I feel.

I end up throwing about a dollar at most groupees bundles anyway. Why not get all the crap along with the couple things I would have paid a dollar for anyway?

I'm pretty ok with pre-orders.

Liking, while at the same time sending 85c to Fox without even glancing at what's in the Gala Greenlight. Not sure if that's an indictment of Groupees, an endorsement of Gala, or my Paypal's Pavlovian response.
