Kyro has "Inspired by the Adventures of Lolo" in the description.

I don't think I've ever heard more beautiful words than those.

Because when I think of the Adventures of Lolo, I think of depressing music, grating sound effects, levels completely devoid of enemies, teleportation mazes, long tutorial signs in the levels, and a game where the only goal is to get to the already-opened exit.

I think the only thing the game has in common with the Lolo series is that the protagonist is blue. But she's also got a unicorn horn and has a magic crystal, so they've got a more believable claim that it's inspired by my Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. If you want to cash in on Lolo nostalgia, at least show off a level where there's some reasonable way to fail. Lolo 3 had harder tutorial levels than what we see in the trailer.

The thing I don't get is why they have a mystery game.....I mean the bundle is already a little devoid of some content....why take away more?
I get the feeling that for Groupees, "mystery game" means "dev didn't sign the contract" or "dev didn't send keys in time" or "dev backed out after we started advertising a game count and now we need to hurry and find a new game for this slot." They're not taking away content, they never had it to begin with.

Same reason they do preoders, to get sales from people willing to gamble who otherwise would pass if they knew what the content was.

I think most bundles use "mystery games" as an excuse to advertise the bundle again on social media during its run (usually about a week or so after it launches) or because the game is featured in another bundle running at the same time. This was the case at least with BlinkBundle, iirc.

Edit: Motoki is also right, but it's not like the price increases after the mystery game is revealed, I think. Mystery games definitely mess with those of us madjoking the pre-order though.

Yeah I agree esp with how Groupees does their newsletters flaunting how much Steam keys are added and the value of their bundles. I remember when mystery games were usually decent....now they're more like +1s if you're lucky.

Those new bundles are not good to say the least. The concerted effort to sidestep questionable bundles is getting extremely easier. Greenlight and Be Mine bundles continue to be my only weakness and I'm fine with that.

Bring on the next Be Mine...

I vastly prefer schadenfreude.

She is a "different" kind of feminist

She got caught making a thread for her game on greenlight trying to stir up some controversy and get attention. Too bad she wasn't aware that she was signed in as herself.
Are you being ironic? That looks more like she's preempting the shit she knows is coming. If you seriously think she forgot she was logged in and was trying to fake-troll herself you might need to peel a layer or two off your tinfoil hat. The game looks bad enough on its own merits that people don't need to cook up conspiracy bullshit about the dev alongside it.

Yeah, I agree. It looks like she was trying to make fun of the trolls with that topic.

She's the dev of the game with the characters that look right out of 9 Chickweed Lane, right?

New Groupee's Pre-order bundle Who's Gaming Now: The DRASTIK Measure for $1.25.

Guess these guys are a furry avatar guy and a dragon avatar guy with some tude. Ehhhhh passing. These WGN bundles usually aren't bundles I want to buy.

Furries with attitude?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CWJgT5NTWg

Groupees is starting to feel like an abusive relationship to me. It keeps doing harm to me, but I keep on coming back and preordering their trash.

Also I don't think they are those furries that play crap games and recommend them on steam. They seem to be different: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TheDrastikMeasure

I see Foxhack

I see Foxhack
Foxhack just wet himself watching that video. The only thing that would have made this better for him is some taxidermy of a female jackal lying prostrate.

New business idea: sell fleshlights with real animal fur on the outside.

he wants that video in flac format so he can listen without watching, heres hoping GOG adds it as a goodie to a game he already owns on steam so he can have steam support remove said game

Good God, man, there could be children browsing this forum.

Sell the idea to Bad Dragon, they'll probably jump on it.

I know I will regret asking this but how does a furry who doesn't like fur suits work exactly?
I know this is being asked rhetorically, but I apparently have a fetish for answering questions seriously, so I would imagine it works the same way as somebody who's into hentai but doesn't like anime kigurumi.

Except probably proportionally rarer.

I like the artwork. That's about it. I'm not one for physical social interaction with other furs. Or most people in general.

Also kigurimi cosplayers are fucking creepy as hell. Even more so when you realize pretty much all of those anime girlies are actually dudes.

In my younger more naive days I would see some of the (PG) artwork and think it was cool but now I just can't separate the sexual fetish component from it.

The Internet. It Ruins Everything.

So are most 'women' in MMOs for that matter.

Yes, and it's called "Doing a Bobby" :shame:
Feels like forever ago, back when I had standards for greenlight. I think the offender was Dead Bits or that suicide game, but when it comes to "voting for a Greenlight game for a free Steam key", I don't think No votes count anyways.

But if you're guaranteed a Steam key from a bundle, then yes, you can vote no if you really want. And then lament when it gets greenlit anyways.

Wow - that does look bad. I pre-ordered the WGN bundle, more as a thank you to WGN for what they're doing. I must say that I'm a little scared to see what's in the bundle.
