I'll try to keep this thread as updated as possible. As new deals come around for each marketing period (usually once a month), this thread will be updated with the info. Also, if you have any trades that you recently did with Gamestop or EB Games, please post the game and the trade in value so we can keep up to date on the Wiki.

Im pretty sure Gamestop ripped me off, oh wells. I traded in a Complete Nintendo DS with box and everything and got $40 >_< and I used the extra $20 coupan from Gameinformer.

That sounds like they didn't give you the $20 bonus from the coupon.

Wow, that is a rip... I'm sure a lot of people on these boards would've bought it for at least that .
If that's the case, I will have to call the two EBs near me, maybe I'll get lucky with the last three I wanted to dump.
word me too. hopefully it gets put back up or we just get lucky
Im pretty sure Gamestop ripped me off, oh wells. I traded in a Complete Nintendo DS with box and everything and got $40 >_< and I used the extra $20 coupan from Gameinformer.
Wow, this is probably the biggest rip-off. Ever. In the history of Gamestop ripping of people. Well, Gamestop owned someone today...

Heh, I found a copy of La Pucelle used at an EB today. Grabbed it with the B2G1F coupon with MM Anniversary Collection and Snowboard Kids DS.

The cashier also told me some guy traded in Disgaea with La Pucelle. o_O The poor idiot.
I also found an EB that is still doing the trade 3, get $10 promo.
That's because they don't know how to read emails. There have been 2 separate emails that came out saying to now do the trade in deal.

wilmington.. it feels like i call a store there all the time..

A few more trade-in values for the wiki:

7/24
Nightshade (PS2) - $2.50
Metroid Prime (GCN) - $1.50
Destruction Derby: Arenas (PS2) - $1

Even though the deal is/will be over, I figure it doesn't hurt to keep the wiki updated.

Did a little trading in yesterday:

Drill Dozer (GBA) - $7 (not in the Wiki)

Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC) - $12 (still)
I didn't get to the point where I bought it. My GS had a used copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, so I inquired about it (it was behind the counter, with the fresh trade-ins), and the girl told me it was $60. No case, no manual, one of their generic sharpie'd cases and it was probably scratched to high heaven. I passed.
If you are still looking for Marvel vs Capcom 2 contact me. My EB Games has 3 in stock all with case and the manual...The price is $59.99...I will only charge you tax/shipping and nothing else as I drive by the mall everyday from work.

On a side note, I dont see why anyone would get rid of a game for a buck. I was in EB one time and they offered some guy 25 cents for a game and I offered the kid 2 bucks because it was 7.99 in the store...He took it and they told me to leave...

So... I can get Shadow of the Colussus for $15 at Circuit City, and turn around and get $22 credit towards FFVII: DoC? Hmm... how BAD is this game???

Shadow's good.. Dirge is not.

I find this funny because when somebody I know was offered $1 from EB, I offered him $2 and the employees thought it was funny, though it was mostly because he tried to get $3 off me instead.

I feel almost bad for some people I see trading in at EB/GS, they give you such dirt cheap amounts of money it is amazing people bite, but most of the time it is small children that trade in to them.

True. I only trade in, when there's trade in deals like Gamerush's awesome $5 bucks extra per game.

I am pretty good friends with some of the co-workers but the manager she is a real shrew and she is the one who did it...

When I offered the kid 2 bucks I pulled out my wallet and she grabbed my wallet and walked me to the door and told me to leave or I would have security called on me....This was while I was working at KB Toys last year when I was still in college and I yelled at the kid and walked next door to work and he sold me the game...

That woman has hated me ever since....

I miss the days when EB had TRADE 3 GAMES FOR 1 GAME! Than it went up to 4 games and then 5 and now it is obsolete....I use to buy games at pawn shops and take them their and would end up only paying like 20 bucks for a 50 dollar game....

sigh...must raise Ebcredit for exclusive FFXII:CE tin...

why must I be addicted to Collectors Editions...WHYY!!!!!!

if you place your trades toward madden you now get 20% more instead of 10%.. this has started as of tonight.

(excludes systems)

If I did the Final Fantasy VII: DoC thing, would they give me any trouble if I switched the pre-order over to something...good?
If I did the Final Fantasy VII: DoC thing, would they give me any trouble if I switched the pre-order over to something...good?
OMG that's immoral and illegal, I won't stand for that!

Whoknows, think of the children!!!

PS They won't care, just do it at a later date, just tell them you read some reviews on the game and found out it sucked.

I agree, people trading in games for a pitiful amount of credit astounds me. Some of my friends do this, even when I reccomend that they wait for a trade in deal. They just want to get rid of the games immediately, for some reason.

I never traded in a game until GS's recent deals, as I was able to pick up a good amount of games for cheap during the B2G1F sale, beat them, and then trade them in for 90-100%+ of the amount I paid for them. Getting to play games at low prices (like Metal Gear Solid 2, Metroid Prime, and Onimusha) is great, especially when you technically get paid to play them :).

LOL! You rule. I did the same thing one time, and nearly got thrown out myself. This was awhile ago, though, when my GS was still Funcoland. Some kid was trading in Super Puzzle Fighter II for Playstation, which is one of my absolute favorite games. I didn't own a copy, and they offered him something insane for it, like less than $4. So I offered him $5 right then and there, and the manager got all pissed and asked me to stop that or leave. I ended up not being able to buy it from the kid (who turned out to be a moron), and my quest for that game continues to this day.

I will think about Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and thanks very much for your offer.

Hmm, tempted to trade in my copy of Halo 2...I can probably pick it up again for cheaper somewhere if I look hard enough

Wow. That's pretty cool of you to do. Too bad they wouldn't let you. I hate how much they rip people off with some of these lame trade in values.

i never trade in at eb unless it's through a deal i can exploit in some way. the "trade 3 get an extra 10" in conjunction with the five dollar off coupon for best buy allowed me to turn 7 dollars out of pocket into something ridiculous like 110 dollars in credit. i always feel bad for people trading their games in for absolutely nothing when they could easily sell them elsewhere and get far more for them.

I just called Gamestop asking about trade in deals and they said there were none, will the 20% extra towards madden work automaticly or do they have to punch something in for it to work?

Anybody know if they take Socom 3 for more than $12.60? That's what estarland is offering.

Wherehouse.com offers $23.00 for it which I would jump on in a second but I've heard bad things about them keeping games if they aren't in PERFECT condition.

Anyone know of any site like wherehouse or estarland? This would be my first time trading games in online, I'm not doing it with EB anymore!

odd on how it can be already over when it just started july 31st around 5-6pm.
Finally got around to updating the wiki with 5 pages of trades.
Here is another 2 for the Wiki if they aren't on there already

PS2

Fight Night Round 3 - $17
Godfather - $16

I'm going to take them in and put them towards Madden '07 and get the 30% extra after trade bonus and gamestop card.

Total Credit to obtain = $42.90

I made alot from the trade in 3 get extra 10....now if they run it again I'd do it other than that hell no!
yea, remind me to never trade games into these stores
Never say never.

I was able to convert just over $500 in (already existing) Gamerush credit into just over $800 in much more useful EB credit with their last trade-in deal. Without the $10 bonus for every 3 games it would have been at a slight loss, which, except for the time invested to do the trading, would have still been worth it.

But if you are talking about taking your game collection from home and trading it in when there's no deal active, then, yeah, I would stay away .

Nice there IO, it must have been a lot of trips back and forth. I was hoping to do the same but only managed to turn about 200 GR into about 300 EB/GS (rough estimate). And yes, EB credit > GR credit, as far as usefulness. Bring on the RPGs.

Yeah, it was many many trips, but generally I did them on my way to and from other places. Then I could always stop by GR and fill back up on clearance games since it is fairly close to my house. The only thing I spent a lot of time on was combing regular Blockbuster stores for hidden clearance games, since my GR didn't have the best selection (and I only have one GR to go to). While that ended up, in general, being a waste of time, it was kind of like a treasure hunt and a hobby unto itself :D. Much like taking part in most of the deals on this site.

But there are other CAG's who got more than $1000 in EB credit from their multiple GR stores clearance stock. I feel like an amateur next to them .

Ebay is the only way to go. Seriously every game I buy I pretty much make all the money back. I bought Over G for 360 and hated it, so I sold it on Ebay for $53.00 and $2.50 shipping, and made almost the whole $59.99 price tag back. Ebay does wonders! :)

So can anyone confirm that the Madden 360 deal is 30% extra on trades with a GI card? If so, how will it work? Can I bring in three games ($35, $35, $30) and get 30% extra on those games and pick up Madden and have extra credit?

It's always YMMV on who you deal with. Some stores might not have read the email, thus even getting the extra 20% is going to be tough. Now, they should know the extra trade value towards reserves being 10% all the time, so if anything, you'll get 20% with the card.
Dirge of Cerberus is allegedly fixed up a bit for US release, though.
nothing can fix that game haha

Does the deal still work for dead rising?

Not sure what's on the Wiki or not, but here's prices from my last few trades...

DS:
Mario Kart DS - $15 (7/21)
Metroid Prime: Hunters - $12 (8/5)

GBA:
Lord of the Rings: The Third Age - $4 (7/21)

PSP:
Ape Escape: On the Loose - $7 (7/21)
Metal Gear Acid - $6 (8/5)
NBA Street: Showdown - $8 (7/21)
NCAA Football 2007 - $18 (8/5)*
Twisted Metal: Head-On - $8 (7/21)

* - $18 is the regular trade-in price, this becomes $30 when traded in towards Madden '07.
I traded in Black and a whole bunch of change. Got 35 bucks put down for Dirge of Cerberus. Thanks OP.
Not a good idea.

eStarland will give you $40 for either DDS1 or Nocturne... well, if they're complete with the soundtracks and everything. Most of the used copies I've seen are disc only or game only. How fucking stupid are people?!? I'll bet their parents had to pay $100+ to buy them for them on Amazon or Ebay too...
