Saw new price in store today and bought it. Only two of the 6 stores in my area even still have one.

Don't know if it's that great a deal but it sure is neat to look at.

Also have the GC version from Spencers awhile back

I have the Original GC one I preordered when it came out. It came in like a paneled window housing with...windows and was really rigid. The lid pops open on a Hinge. Is the Ps2 version packaged this way too?

Yep, I wouldn't be surprised if they reused the outer shell design completely.

Thanks, OP! I picked up the lone saw at my only EB in town that I've been eyeballing for the past few months.

This isn't the first time the PS2 RE4 controller was available at this price (overstock?, buy.com? can't remember), but this is probably the last time it'll be available retail at this price.

I called five different GS/EBs before I found one that had only one in stock. Of course the one that had it was the one that is the farthest away. It was a :ps2: version but I was looking for a :gc: one though, but I will probably never use it. I will most likely put it on a shelf next to my Dragon Quest Slime Controller but this one is just cool enough that I may want to try it out. I included a pic of the one I bought so that everyone can get an idea of what they are looking for.

this may end up just sitting there somewhere, if I decide to buy one hmm..it doesn't look as comfortable as playing on a PS2 controller...

The general shape of the packaging is similar, but there is one significant difference: the Gamecube box is basically stiff cardboard, and the PS2 box is sturdy plastic. The PS2 box is much nicer, which has always made me sad that they skimped on the GC version.

I snagged a PS2 one at my gamestop. Last one they had. They also still have a copy of that Tekken game w/ pad collection for $29.99, is that worth getting for trade or reselling?

I saw one PS2 CS alone on top of a steering wheel tonight. I had Gift cards from Christmas and I couldnt get it this time around. Hopefully it'll be there next time. Looks almost bigger then the GC one.

Sweet. The guy at EBGS came through with a Cube chainsaw. A few light dings on the lid and it is opened, but it even has the seals intact so I can reseal it. $14.99 as indicated, thanks to the poster of that info.

I notice this model has a mem card holder. This thing didn't originally come with a RE4 mem card or something did it?

On the GC version of the chainsaw there is a slot in the stand for a memory card. But the one I bought had no mem card. Thinking about it, though, if they had thrown in a GC memory card the chainsaw would have been even more expensive.

Good luck finding the GC one they are a bitch to find. If anyone has any sealed ones they want to sell or even trade LMK. Will Trade or Paypal. Thanks
