GS: Instore/Online PUR Pro B2G1 on Preowned "Products" 2/28-2/29
It says that its available for Regular PUR members tomorrow only.
Yeah, I was hurrying trying to post it. (I've only had about 3 Deal threads in my time on CAG so this is a rare moment for me. lol)
did they jack up their prices for this sale? everything in stock looks totally inflated.
marvel ultimate alliance 2 is 45 used and only 25 at best buy used. >_> maybe they're just behind on the times and forgot to mark some things down. who knows.

I was going to get a few games tomorrow anyhow but now I'm torn on getting a used one from gamestop or a new one from amazon. Instant gratification vs new game :whistle2:k

nba 2k12 is b2g1 sell 2 keep one for free....i just dont buy new games anymore because they are expensive and always too short

it's too bad the free shipping is gone, it's unfortunate gamestop doesn't refund shipping fees when they send games that don't work

I totally laughed my ass off when I read the email concerning this "a sale like this only comes once every 4 years". I think GS has their time perception fucked up if they think once or twice a month is every 4 years. I get its leap year thing, but....its not a special sale at all.

they are talking about the leap year... feb had an extra day... which occurs every 4 years....noob.

Got the email for this. I used to have a Pro membership, but I let it expire. Guess they still let me in on the sale for two days. I too have noticed the spike in prices during this sale.

I thought there was a free shipping code or something.
I thought there was a free shipping code or something.
There was. Then they just offered free shipping on all orders over $25 for a while but now they offer nothing.

Oh wow, really? I totally didn't know, oh wise one. Except for the fact that I did mention it in my post, you illiterate imbecile. Next time you want to make a stab at someone, make sure you don't bitch slap yourself in the process.
Okay, I totally bought three used PS2 games yesterday. Would they let me return/rebuy? What if I threw in a pre-order? haha
Yes. Yes. And yes. Yes yes yes yes

LOL my bad. I'll go back to slickdeals now
what's the difference in PUR Pro and Regular? $15 subscription fee?
Pro gives you:
10% off pre-owned games/accessories
10% bonus trade in credit

The 10% off stacks with any promos as well, even the B2G1.

You can also buy a used system and it counts as a pre-owned product towards the sale, but you dont get 10% off on the system.

there are some titles i'm interested in but are only available online: what's the quality of 'pre-owned' bought online vs in-store; ie: does all the scratched-up, dirty, disc-only stuff get sent there? any chance of buying a 'pre-owned' game online during the offer & exchanging for the same title in-store later if it ends up being icky? how do returns of B2G1 stuff get priced: proportionally or per exact item? TIA.

I returned games and they just took the exact price of that game. If you return one of the three, they could charge you the difference if the game you return isn't the lowest priced game.
Will this work on consoles like ps2 or GameCube?
No. Only their games and accessories used.

Plus there's their awesome pro rewards program where, if you spend like $500-1000 in their store, you can get incredible prizes like a $3 plastic keychain, posters from their magazine, or leftover pre-order swag they were going to throw out! (Joking aside, though, you can trade in your points for $5/$10-off coupons, too...)
Can someone edit this? I can confirm that this isn't just for PUR Pro members. Anyone who's PUR member is eligible.
I can confirm this as well although I'm not 100% sure it isn't a website glitch as I'm not pro and I got the 10% discount in addition to the B2G1.

Also in the past with B2G1 sales I could add 3 17.99 games and 3 9.99 games to my cart and it would give me 1 free 17.99 game and 1 free 9.99 game. Now it's using 2 9.99 games as the free ones. This means you have to place separate orders to get the correct discounts and when you do that the shipping starts to kill the deal. So I ended up only getting 3 games instead of 6.

Yes, this does work on consoles, with a catch. The free item HAS to be a game.

I got a PS2 ($39.99), a GC ($29.99) and DBZ: Burst Limit ($29.99) for $70.

Today I went to a GS and tried to b2g1f and was not a "pro" member and it was a no go.

Then I had to deal with the guy trying to hard sell me on why I would want to spend $14.99 to get a free game.

I left with nothing.

I found a flip last summer to pay for my PUR Pro. I don't know if I would pay for it without doing something like that. It has decent perks if you like buying and trading a lot of games.

One other thing on PUR Pro - you do get the Game Informer magazine subscription as well. Not a great mag, but it covers all platforms and has purty pictures You can also get it digital but I like reading the mag with my afternoon coffee. Or after that.

I went last night and this older employee was telling me their e-mail said the promotion starts tomorrow. I said "What?!" then proceeded to take out my cellphone and show him the e-mail I received stating it started on the 28th thru 29th. He then said they have to go by the e-mail the company receives. "Sorry".

As I was walking out he yelled "wait!". I turned back and he said "I'm sorry, you were right, it does start now". He then turned to another employee and showed them the corp. e-mail. I, however, shrugged and walked out, with nothing.

If only Best Buy would match these promo's.

Best Buy does and has run similar promos just not at the same time as Gamestop. Already this year they have done a B2G2 and a B2G1. Plus they had a B2G1 coupon that they mailed out to GCU members in the last batch of coupons. I do not know the quality of Gamestops used games, as I do not buy used games from them as their prices are ridiculous, but Best Buy resurfaces their games really well and I have never seen so much as a single scratch on any game I have bought from them. The only issue with them is you could get stuck without a manual as they seal their games.
