GS Steal of the Week: 20% off one pre owned game / accessory - 3500 points

Lol? Seriously? CAG16 still works right? That would have to be much better, and you don't have to spend the points.
Thanks for posting though. GameStop just has aweful sales.

This coupon works in store only, CAG16 is online only... plus you may only find some newer release pre owned games in store only.

You're right, that's not a bad deal.

Are these coupons restricted to one redeemed per purchase or could you use more than one (i.e., this 20% off coupon plus a $5 pre-owned game coupon)?

1 game per coupon :(

looking at possibly getting MW3 or something along those lines and then flipping it at BB.

I suppose. I just cant imagine wanting to spend the 3500 points for only 4%. To each his own. If this benefits people, then great!

hmm I just got PUR Pro for the magazine because I had a bunch of GS credit I didn't know what to do with. I guess I could take advantage of this to get something.

and what about shipping? not being able to see the product before hand?
Im using this on a copy of mw3 to flip
That's not a bad idea... I might do that as well. Looks like it'd be about $27 -> $37.

I know this is a little out of topic but how does a $ off coupon stack? Does it take the dollar off from the sale price and then apply the 10% off pro member discount or the other way around?
Are the 120GB PS3 systems that are now marked as used in the system as "Systems" or "Accessories"?
I was wondering the same thing about old PSPs but I'm sure we're out of luck.

Remember when GameStop used to have coupons like this in their weekly email? Sometimes they would even be 25% off. Ridiculous that this is how far they've fallen. Explains why I've been to GS twice in the past 3 years.

I've got one of these in my inbox for my birthday a few weeks back. Still looking for something to spend it on.

It'll probably go bad before I get to it.

So true, the deals are few and far between now.

4% more for a potentially working game as opposed to ordering online and having to return the game that doesn't work 96% of the time seems to be much more benefical. Also CAG16 doesn't stack with powerup card, so its actually a 14% difference, and they no longer offer free shipping online so that is even more costs.

Personally I'm still holding for discounts on the $10/$25/$50 coupons.

Thinking about using this on NBA 2K12 to get it for about $25. I've had an urge to pick it up for a while now.
with another 500 points you can get a $5 off coupon
Which makes this a better deal if you plan on buying anything used at $25 or above.

Hmm, maybe I should use this on a really good used copy of Tales of the Abyss :)3ds:)--given how people are saying it's getting harder to find, paying about $25 sounds like a pretty good deal.

How is the MW3 flip worth anything? You should be getting $33 while your copy costs $28. $5 profit that costs you almost the GS points equivalent of a $5 preowned gaming coupon?

How is this a steal? lol
I'd rather spend 500 more points to get 5 bucks off a pre-owned game.
You can't really get much for 20 percent off, no matter what item.

Picked up Tales of Graces last week and was thinking of doing a return/rebuy. Does gamestop have any strict rule on returns/rebuy?

With your PUR card, you're looking at 30% off. That's a nice discount if you're buying a higher priced game.

This is pretty good. I think I could get a new game like RE: Operation Raccoon City for $40 or so. Combine that with a couple of trade-ins thanks to the 50% promo and it could easily be picked up for free. It's worth a shot.

$27 to flip to BB for $38+

Yeah, but you would get the PUR 10% regardless of whether you use this coupon (assuming you are buying a used game).

And with this coupon, it makes it 30% off which isn't a bad discount at all. I know the $5 off coupon is only 500 points more, but for buying a higher priced game, this coupon is the better deal.
$27 to flip to BB for $38+
oh I forgot about there. Thats what happens when banned folks chime in :)

just used 2 coupons for 2 copies of CODMW3 for $29.53 each, flipped to BB for $40 each. Nice $20 profit which i used to get a price matched 3ds $145, and got 3 3ds games(Kid Icarus, MGS SE, RE Mercs) priced match for BUY2GET1 from target so saved a total of $75, niceee.

Yup, also managed to get two copies of MW3 for ~$28 using two coupons, and traded them in for $40/each at BBY. Nice little $24 profit, and "better" store credit.

how did you get 40 dollars for modern warfare 3? it says on the bb site that it has a 25 dollar TIV.

They're running a 50% bonus, and a 10% bonus stacks on top of that if you're a GZU member. $25 x 1.6 = $40 ;)

EDIT: Beaten by a few seconds! ;p
