I think you are giving the TIV after the promo. GS has changed it now so the TIV after promo shows up on the reciept and not the base

Side note, last night I traded in 10 games and like an idiot, I didnt do it in two separate transactions. The lady was the manager and asked me if I wanted to look around to see if I wanted anything while she did the trade in. That was fine cause I wanted to check a couple prices on some games for the b2g1 free. So when i get the receipt I jsut kinda glance over it and see some of the TIVs. Well when I got home, I looked at the receipt and and the computer had given me the trade 5 get and extra 20 for the first 5 games, the extra 10 for the next 3 games, and my last two games got no bonus except the Powercard.
It's funny how this happens all the time with various promos. It's happened to me before while trading in 2 sets of 5 in 1 transaction.. It makes my taking advatage of glitches that benefit me, guilt free. They fix glitches that benefit the customers in a matter of days, they never fix the ones that benefit them. Just remember "The computer will always giv you the best deal" .....NOT.

Updated lists and database. Got some more info on the new promo:
only games not on accessories. The entire trade in credit does not have to be spent.
I'm thinking about trading back my 360 slim and maybe getting a new one with Kinect, but I don't know if it's worth it. My current 360 is scratched to hell and not too long ago, my girlfriend tripped and dropped her hair blower on it, scratching the hell out of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Since then, I've gotten AC fixed but the xbox itself sometimes just freezes randomly.

So since the 50% bonus is going on, would it be worth trading it in for 240 and pay a 60 dollar difference (or 160 with Kinect)?

so the base value is 160 and they are offering 50% bonus on the xbox 360 slim 250gb version?

weird that your xbox randomly freezes unless water fell on it.

i'd say do it if you need to and get the kinect bundle. not sure it's worth it for the standard 250gb system.

Tiger Woods 2010 Wii $5
Tiger Woods 2010 PS3 $7
Guitar Hero Van Halen Wii $6
Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 $5
Civ Revolutions PS3 $5

I don't think the hard drive themselves do.

Do you guys know if they will do an in-store transfer if I do trade my 250 gig in and get another with Kinect?

Updated lists and database.
whats the base TIV for a 360 arcade (and also, a 20 GB HDD)?

does the HDD count for any kind of bonuses?
TIVs for hardware/accessories are located in the 6th post on the first page. All 360s, minus the slim models, are separated out from the hard drives. No differences between elite/arcade/pro and so on.
I don't think the hard drive themselves do.

Highly unlikely on the data transfer. A lot of the stores aren't set up for it and they may not have time to do it either. When the slims first come out there were some stores that would do a data transfer but the percentage was low.
I just checked my PowerUp Rewards account just now and it recorded my trade in for GoW3 as the God of War Collection. I guess the store's computer had some sort of error or something since my receipt states "God of War III 930404", and I specifically remember the store clerk scanning the barcode instead of manually inputting it in.

Perhaps someone can trade a copy in to make sure if it's a store only type error or if it's company wide. I know a lot of people can make use of the high TiV using the BBV B1G1 sale like you said.
Confirmed. I asked my local GS today and they said it was $10 base. Surprised me as well, as I was the last person to trade it in at $4. I even checked my receipt after I traded it in to make sure I didn't get hit with a refurb fee since I didn't have a manual to include but it was $4 base at the time. GoW: Collection is $6. Has anybody had any success trading in a multiple at a different GS? I assume the history linked to your Power Up card would show if I had traded in GoW 3 in before already.

TIV's 1/1
iconxbox360.gif
Castlevania: Lord of Shadow $14

iconps3.gif

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West $11
GoW 3: $10
GoW: Collection $6

iconpsp_r2.gif
PSP 2000 handheld $50

Yeah I traded in GoW3 and GoW collection the other day for $4 and $6 base.

Is Castlevanie base $14? Either way that is lowwww.

TIV for 360 arcade is about $30 or 40 credit (or that's what I was told last week). Taking it tomorrow, so I'll let you know.

Yep all base values.
Yep all base values.
So, GOW3 traded in for $10 base?? It went up $6 from closing of 12/30 to now?

Well would you look at that. I'm guessing it's pretty rare to see a game's TiV rise so substantially.

I haven't had issues trading in the same game at different stores although I've only traded in 3 of the same game tops. I believe I read in another thread that clerks can easily check your past trade ins. However, I don't think they'll give you any trouble unless it's something they believe are abusive / dealer type transactions.

O my word, I should have made a trip up to BBV again to grab another copy of GoW3. I have a copy im keeping to play through but for that TIV, I may dump it.

Thanks. I was just wondering if the system pops up automatically to show the number of times it was traded in once they scan the game in.

I don't have my trade in receipt anymore but I do remember looking at the list of trade ins one by one and GoW 3 was $4 base at the time.

It appears the new trade promo is an additional 50% bonus on all games toward the purchase of anything pre-owned (games, accessories, or systems).

Pretty solid deal if you're looking to pick something up then and there instead of banking the credit.

Crud, would trading in the Kinect count as hardware for the 50% trade in bonus? I'd really rather trade it in and get a decent amount than mess with eBay.
take advantage of an extra 50% in-store credit between sunday, january 2, and sunday, january 9, when you trade in your old games toward the purchase of any pre-owned games, accessories and consoles.
Which is it?
Which is it?
I would trust the email I got over any gamestop employee. Official email from gamestop says: Take advantage of an extra 50% in-store credit between Sunday, January 2, and Sunday, January 9, when you trade in your old games toward the purchase of any pre-owned games, accessories and consoles.

Update: Also live on their website now http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/game-trade-bonus/?loc=homedeal

My quote was about the bonus on trade-ins only being for games, not you can only use it on games. Someone had asked the question earlier. I probably should have quoted that to have it make more sense.

TIV from today

Just bought a cheap 360 game and got 50% bonus...60% with powerup.
360

Black Ops - $30
Ass Creed Bro Hood - $20
Viva Pinata - $1.50

57.40 GS trade in value for Xbox360, original game, wireless controller and wired controller. (Had the box and all the manuals too, but they didn't want those.) He says might've gotten a little more, but he had a hard time with the drawer opening when he was doing it. (We'd never had problems, but c'est la vie.)
$30 is base value for :360: Black Ops? Might be where I dump mine towards something for my new PS3.
Yeah...got $48 trade in for it after powerup card and bonus.

So you don't have to spend entire credit from this tradein promo towards pre-owned purchases and can only buy the game you want and get remaining credit on your card...correct?

Let the post-holiday Gamestop raping begin.

They just dropped a bunch of their trade in values....from today:

Chrono Trigger DS = 4
Gears of War 2 = 1.50
Bayonetta = 6

sucks. I'm going back to amazon or ebay to unload these.

A few base values from 12/31/10:

:ds: Ben 10 - Alien Force Attacks = $6.00
:ds: Zubo = $1.00
:360: Spider-Man Friend Or Foe = $3.00
:360: FEAR 2 Project Origin = $4.00
:wii: Top Spin 3 = $3.00
:wii: Chaotic Shadow Warriors = $4.00

traded in an xbox slim 250gb today. base tiv $160. with 50% it came out to $240.

also traded in some wired headsets tiv = $5 and wired microphone tiv = $4.

btw, does anyone know the process of trading in a ps3 slim in? do they actually physically check the ps3 for hdd or p/n or do they just turn it on and see the capacity. the reason i am asking is because i am considering trading in my 120gb in, but have a 320gb hdd laying around. it might be worthwhile for me to swap the 120gb with my extra 320gb hdd in and trade it for more, otherwise i'll be stuck with the 320gb hdd forever. although, i'd still be stuck with the 120gb if i swap, but the extra tiv credit might be worth it.

I'm pretty sure it's done by part number. Not 100% sure though.

Looks like they caught on that everyone else is selling Shaun White: Skateboarding for $20-30 new as they dropped the used price from $45 to $25 and base trade value for the Xbox 360 version is as follows:

1-3-11
iconxbox360.gif

Shaun White: Skatebording $6.00 ($10 drop)

Traded in the following for the 50% bonus. Employee didn't use a promo book to scan code or whatever, the 50% bonus was automatic in the system only after the used game was scanned.

Base value as of today 1/3/11:

Nintendo Wii
New Super Mario Brothers $20.00
Super Mario Galaxy 2 $20.00

Xbox 360
Call of Duty Black ops $30 ($48 after 50% bonus and PUR)
Fable 3 $20.00

PS3
God of War III $10.00

Depending upon your bank, anywhere up to 15 days for a return to be processed. I'd say the average time is 7 days though. Also, holiday weekend could add a couple more days.
PS3
God of War III $10.00
Wait, this is really the base value?

I checked a few days ago and it was just $7 or something. I need to scrape together a few games for a 5 game trade and if this now gets $15 after Power Up + promo then off it goes!

Was just wondering why you traded your 360?

I think Gamestop turns on the PS3 and check to see the size and if its working. You should be alright swap out the drives, but how much of a difference in price for hard drive trade in? You probably better off keeping the 320GB and use it for something else.
