Tiered trade doesn't have any minimum normally, at least not one set by GameStop corporate. What you will normally get is some local stores not wanting to get loads of garbage games so they impose a district wide one or just a store wide minimum. Since the GameStop promos always have subject to manager approval on them they can get away with such stuff. Also I can't remember if the last tiered was current gen only or not. Have to look through my last few threads.

Other promos like trade this number get $X, normally had minimums of more than $2. This recent promo however has had a over $5 minimum. Of course previous promos were trade 2 get $10, trade 3 get $20 and stuff like that. Since this is like 7 get $50 and so on they figured they would limit the number of applicable games by a lot by making it over $5 minimum TIV.

If they follow their normal promo start/end cycle this one should start on the 22nd, the current promos end on the 21st end of day.

Looking through old information on the last one I have data on, this is the information from when the LAST promo like this was, not the current info. Just to give people an idea of what it will probably entail.

Trade in any 2, 4 or 6 Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS or PSP games, and get an extra 10%, 20% or 40% trade-in credit respectively.

Expires: 11/22/2009. Offer not good on cash trades. Trades must be in full working condition to receive full value. Offer good towards games normally accepted in trade only. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Trade-ins subject to manager approval. See store associate for details. No dealers. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only.

The last promo like this they did take DS/PSP but they have been cutting them out of the last few promos so this isn't really a surprise. I highly doubt this new promo would actually include DS/PSP games, so don't count on this old information as guarantee that it will include them. Can't guarantee the information/stipulations are the same but they tend to stick to certain trends on their trade-in promos. The tiered promo tends to go for two 3-week periods at least, sometimes longer.

damn i just traded 4-5 of my ds games today to amazon/gazelle since i wasn't seeing any new promos. ah well i might be able to pick up some more

Yup. Crazy as it sounds, im hoping for one this week haha. Or maybe next week. I just got 172 in credit yesterday and have 50 extra i had before for about 225 so im hoping that it doesnt have to wait too long to be used.

traded in BF:BC and Fifa 09 for ps3 on sunday. can't get an adjustment since it'd be after 7 days. I didn't even get the extra $10 since Fifa is worth exactly $5.
