GT4 free with Trade in of 3 games!!!!

Maybe we went to the same store. I went to the Fields Corner store, or at least I think that is the name of it. Anyhow, it's the one across the street from the Shady Grove Hospital. I noticed that you are down the street in Rockville...

Knock on wood . . . seriously . . . my store has been very cool about returns . . . they know me and my "scam" and don't seem to care. But I'm a good customer otherwise and have gotten to know most of the staff and respect them.
 
Well, I finally got around to doing this deal. I'm glad I brought a big stack of games, because most were excluded. Just before going, I picked up Bad Boys from BB, and it is a good thing I did.

Wow, so I guess Metal Arms (I'm assuming you tried PS2 version?) got switched to POX in just the last 2 days. I wonder what else has been added to the exclusion list?
 
i guess you work at an ebgames then huh? i saw the is a trade 5 games for madden deal what if my games are a little scracthed?

Yes, all the games I tried were PS2.

Yeah, the Metal Arms POX switch made me grumpy. I stopped by GR with io's list of '$7 3 for 2' games and my back-of-the-head list of games from BB that have worked for me and found only two of them (Escape from Monkey Island and Max Payne 2) at the $7 mark. So I bit the bullet and also got Metal Arms at $10, figuring it was still worth it. Tried it at one EB, and got declined because Metal Arms was POX at $2 trade-in. Crud. First cashier who knew the deal without having to look it up, though, so that was nice. Thirty minutes to close and nowhere near home. Flew by Best Buy and looked for $5 games. Found BG&E and Starsky & Hutch, but the cashier would only let me use one coupon. Figured BG&E was more likely to work. Since another EB was closer to BB, went to that one. Tried the trade again with all four to see if Metal Arms was a glitch. Guy didn't believe me that the deal existed, but rang it up anyway. Metal Arms was POX still, but BG&E wasn't. Walked out with GT4 and my now well-travelled copy of Metal Arms.

Win some, lose some. Guess I'll trade it back to GR with a high-value game when I do my next preorder.

Wow, nice to know I'm not the only one to get in at the last minute, I guess. Glad you got in, but too bad you had to trade in such a good game. Hopefully, you had already had a copy and played it.

I had to trade my BG&E in a pinch the other day when they wouldn't take something else I had. Now the Best Buy's are out of it. Oh well - I'll find it again somewhere.

I returned my last GT4 yesterday . . . 9 $5 games (plus $3 in tax) became $126 in eb credit . . . each game actually returned at $39.99 plus tax.

Nice deal.

I'm not an aggressive CAGer either. I haven't been on Ebay in months, even. anyhow, I've added you to my buddy list also. Don't know what that does, but did it. I'll be glad to hook you you up whenever I can get in on a deal locally. Take care.
