GTA Shark Card on Xbox? Help! need info!

If you buy a physical card at the store for GTA 5 Shark Cards and redeem them on the Xbox, what happens? Do you just receive that amount in in-game currency? Or is it like Season Pass Prepaid Cards on Xbox, where it just issues that amount into your Xbox Credit? And then you can use the Xbox credit to buy if from the marketplace.

Gamestop has Shark Cards 50% off in their BlackFriday ad. I thought this might be a way to build credit and get a deal on it.

I'm not sure but I imagine it would issue in-game credit. That would be a heck of a loop hole if it was deposited as credit in your XBL account.

Maybe I'm mistaken. Is that what you are asking, is that if it was deposited in to your XBL account could you spend it on whatever you want (outside of GTA V content)?

Correct. For instance, I bought the Sunset Overdrive Season Pass at BestBuy, but when I entered the code, it just put $20 into my Xbox account.
