Guessing game: What bill am I?

I was voted on by the Senate Judiciary Committee with the following going yes/no.
The ayes:

Chairman Patrick Leahy (D., Vt.)

Sen. Dick Durbin (D., Ill.), who introduced the bill

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.)

Sen. John Cornyn (R., Texas)

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa)

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.)

Sen. Charles Schumer (D., N.Y.)

Sen. Herb Kohl (D., Wisc.)

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D., R.I.)

Sen. Chris Coons (D., Del.)

Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.)

The nays:

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.)

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R., Utah)

Sen. Jon Kyl (R., Ariz.)

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.)

Sen. Michael Lee (R., Utah)

Sen. Tom Coburn (R., Okla.)
My first thought was huh, only one D against. Then I saw it was Feinstein which shocked the hell out of me. I didn't know Feinstein and Coburn agreed on the color of the sky. Feinstein, Hatch, Kyl, Sessions, Coburn, and Graham on one side. Durbin, Leahy, Cornyn, Grassley, and Franken on the other. Huh.

It was a vote on a bill that would
permit the televising of Supreme Court proceedings. It wouldn't be mandatory and would require a majority of justices vote yes on each case in order to permit the televising.

This is literally the stupidest idea I have seen come out out any Committee this year. Granted, the year is still early.

Why. As long as it doesn't concern national security or endanger witnesses, why should the SC operate under a shroud of secrecy?

Dude we already have taped precedings, and have since like the 80's. I would find it interesting to have video to just the voices.

Thanks for the heads up on this Speed.

Maybe if you're not interested in Scotus, but I think this is awesome, hopefully it gets passed.
