I'm putting this guide here since one of the sites (Ebates) uses my referral link. If this guide is useful to you, please use my referral link when you sign up there. :)

You don't need a credit card to sign up for any of this, by the way.

1. Get a free one-year account at Shoprunner, which will give you free 2-day shipping at Newegg, Drugstore, and a bunch of other sites. Thanks to BMXJouster for his explanation:
If you're a new member just sign up and use the promo code RUNNER to get one year of ShopRunner for free. When you sign up you don't even have to give them a credit card number and it's automatically set to "do not renew".

I'm not sure how long they'll have this deal up for. ShopRunner is free 2-day shipping that's good at sites like Newegg, Radioshack, Toys R Us and Pet Smart (the whole list of participating retailers is on the site). I know this might not TECHNICALLY be a video game deal, but Newegg and Toys R Us do sell video games so I figured some of you might appreciate this.

2. Create an account at Ebates. Any time you go to shop at a qualifying online store (Amazon, Newegg, Drugstore, etc.), go to Ebates first, and click their link. When you make your purchase, the store will give Ebates some percentage of your sale as a commission, and then Ebates will give the majority of that to you in cash. The first time you cash out, the minimum is low (my first check was a little over $10), and I'm not sure what it is after that, but I remember it being fairly low as well-- possibly $25. Referrals aren't the emphasis of the site at all, but they do give you $10 if somebody signs up with your link, which is why I put my link here.

While the cash back percent at Amazon is low (4%), the cash back on some websites, like Drugstore.com, is high (12% cash back, which adds up extremely quickly). Coupled with the free 2-day shipping from Shoprunner, this ends up being a great deal, since their prices tend to be as low as, or lower than, Amazon. I've switched to Drugstore for all of my hygiene products-- soap, shampoo and conditioner, skin care, etc., which ends up being much cheaper (and more convenient) than driving to the store.

3. Check out RetailMeNot for coupon codes before you shop. Ebates will normally clue you in as to what the best coupons are, since they want you to shop frequently at those stores, of course, but it's a good idea to check RetailMeNot just to make sure.

I was wrong about the referral bonus at Ebates: it's $5 per referral, not $10.

In any case, referrals aren't necessary since cash back is where you get your money.

Here's a list of some of their more notable cash back stores (there are dozens more):

- Drugstore.com: 12%
- GameFly: 5%
- JCPenny: 4%
- Amazon: up to 4% (depends on what you're buying)
- Toys R Us: 3%
- Kohl's: 3%
- K-Mart: 3%
- Best Buy: 2.5%
- Newegg: 1% :)(, but getting $5 or $10 back when building your new PC is a nice bonus anyway)
