For those who'd like to skip the whole Black Friday crowds and missed the game when it went on sale on bestbuy.com yesterday, Guild Wars is now $9.99 on Amazon. The recently released expansion is $19.99, and there's even a promotion to give you 50% off any additional Guild Wars title you buy for it (Eye of the North requires one of the original three campaigns to play).

I just bought guild wars but haven't played it yet. Are nightfall/factions expansions or are they all separate games?
 
Note as well that if you buy Eye of the North Expansion you will get 1/2 off any other version of guild wars. So you could get Factions or Nightfall with it for less than $20 or the first Guild wars for only $5
 
Anybody get the 50% promo to work? Tried adding EOTN and Nightfall to the cart, but can't get it to take 50% off of Nightfall (or Factions for that matter)....grrrr.
 
Did this last night ($25 for for GW and Eye of the North) when Amazon put up the BF prices. Great deal, I get free shipping too.

To get it to work, you have to go all the way to checkout (right before confirmation). It didn't show for me until I got there.

Been looking for an excuse to grab one of the GW expansions after playing and enjoying the og awhile back. Picked up EOTN & Nightfall for 38 bucks shipped, awesome deal.
 
Well, my order of Guild Wars: GOTY edition came in today, and none of the copies were factory-sealed and all are missing the manuals.

Does anyone know if the weapons unique to the GOTY edition are redeemed by separate codes, or tied to the access key, or what? If it's the former, I'm missing those as well.

I haven't ever heard of Amazon shipping something that was not factory sealed, but I guess mistakes happen. Maybe someone in Amazon's shipping dept. swiped them?

It seems like newer copies don't come with manuals, as there's a slip of paper that tells you where to download it. Sucks 'cause I really wanted the 144 pg. tome of goodness.
