Complete Information:
Guild Wars Nightfall will make its world debut during a massive gameplay weekend—the Nightfall World Preview Event—on the weekend of September 22–24, 2006. For 72 hours, players, fans, and even newcomers to Guild Wars from around the world will get a chance to play through some of the exciting new content in Guild Wars Nightfall, immersing themselves in a brand new story of heroes and villains, of a world sitting on the precipice of eternal night...

As a newly inducted member of the legendary Order of the Sunspears, you and your fellow heroes will be able to explore all of Istan, the great island province of the nation of Elona. There you will be asked to protect its inhabitants from all manner of threats, from ruthless corsair brigands to more supernatural dangers that rise up in a possible prelude to darker times ahead.
During this event, players will be able to create new characters from the Nightfall campaign. By choosing Elona as their homeland from the character creation screen, players will have access to the new Dervish and Paragon professions, as well as the six core Guild Wars professions. While playing through the region, players will also get their first look at Nightfall missions and in-game cinematics.

And, if that wasn't enough to pique your interest, participants in the Nightfall World Preview Event will get to test out the exciting new Hero feature that Nightfall will bring to the game. As players progress through the underlying story, they will be able to enlist the aid of a variety of Heroes who have a strong impact on the narrative of the Nightfall campaign. These Heroes can be customized and even controlled by players as they progress through the game. Look for more details on Heroes to be announced next week!
For PvP players, the Nightfall World Preview Event offers even more excitement. Not only will the Dervish and Paragon professions be fully available for PvP character creation, but players will be able to take these new professions or their favorite core builds into existing arenas, as well as two Nightfall-exclusive arenas—the Sunspear Arena and the Churranu Island Arena.

The Nightfall World Preview Event will begin September 22 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and run until 11:59 p.m. PDT on September 24. At the end of the event, all Nightfall characters that players have created and all Nightfall items they've acquired will be removed from participating accounts, and the Nightfall content will be removed from the live servers. So, don't miss out!

It is already past 12:01 am on Friday, but I still can play this world preview. It says "Your account is currently not authorized to play Guild Wars. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I download the client program already and I created an account. Why can't I play?

Event Update22 September 2006The start of the Nightfall World Preview Event will be delayed by a few hours. We’ve discovered a corruption in the archives, and we’re pulling a full backup, after which we will then examine the error, make a correction, and the event will be on its way. At this point, we anticipate that the event will not start before 5:00 a.m. PDT (Noon GMT). We will update as soon as we have further information. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I played Guild Wars Nightfall world preview for about half hour today then it crashed. Now I can't connect to the game anymore. It just say "Connecting to ArenaNet" and it stays at 0%. Any one have this problem too? Can any one play?

I've had no problems today. You might want to copy your .dat file to a backup folder, reinstall the client, and copy your .dat file back.
