Guitar Hero DS - Yours for 50 bones!

[quote name='ITDEFX']And yet people go and buy the GH/Rock Band Package?

No, didn't buy those either. :p

Isn't there a feature where you download new Prof. Layton puzzles after you finish? Why can't new songs be like that?

Without any kind of external storage (such as SD cards), this isn't ever going to happen. Songs take up too much space. But I think we are going to see a new DS sooner than most people think, in part for this reason. We'll be getting a DS with an SD or MicroSD slot before much longer. DS games will be written such that they run on old and new DS's, but when run on a new DS you'd have the option of expanded downloadable content and perhaps some other enhanced features. Perhaps most importantly for Nintendo, there will be "virtual portable" purchases/downloads. With the success of their Virtual Console on the Wii I just can't see them passing up this recycling the past cash cow for the DS much longer. In fact I think you can bank on the rumored dropping of the GBA slot. A GBA slot makes them no money at all at this point, it only costs money, whereas downloadable/purchasable virtual GBA games are pretty much free money to them. Of course they can sell you games for non-Nintendo portables of the past as well. Dropping the GBA slot wouldn't make Atari happy with regard to Guitar Hero On Tour, but I think Nintendo would rather resell your GBA games to you.
