Damn it, if I needed another guitar I'd be all over this. But I already have 2 guitars and 1 mic is plenty. No one likes playing singer anyway. Plus I'm too lazy to re-sell the stuff I don't need.
 
Fair warning to anyone who has not used GH store, if there is a problem with your controller you will have to pay to have it returned and fixed.

Yep, I gave mine away to a friend and kept my Xplorer, most reliable guitar ever. GHWT guitar sucks.
 
I like the GHWT guitar better than the GH5/Band Hero guitar. Sure the whammy bar broke after a couple of weeks but it was nothing a couple of rubber bands couldn't fix. Hmm, I don't have Metallica but do I need a third guitar? It is a pretty sweet deal though. My wallet is already begging for mercy so I'm going to have to take a pass on this one.

Really depends on what you already have. I jumped at the Buy.com deal because I've been needing another guitar for rock band, and while I'm not a huge AC/DC fan, that track pack is one of the better rock band track packs out there - especially since you can't pick up any of the songs on the rock band store.

The guitar it came with seems solid - no star power problems, although my back button needs to be pressed fairly hard for it to register - I might have to go inside and see if I can't fix that. I just got it today, but at the moment I'm very happy with the Buy.com deal.

The GH deal seems a bit more iffy. AFAIK, you can't import the metallica songs into any of the other GH games (one of the things I LOVE about Rock Band - I just took a tally tonight, and I have over 250 songs I can play in Rock Band 2, not including Lego Rock Band, which I have yet to import/download). If what people above are saying about the GHWT guitar (not that great, etc.) then this might be worth a pass, unless you're a huge metallica fan, or need either of those instruments. I considered it for a second, as I do need a new mic for Beatles Rock Band, but I just have no use for any of the GH games at this point.
 
thanks INCyr, I think im going with the buy.com deal, people have complaints about both guitars. I imagine AC/DC is more fun to jam out to even if its half the amount of tracks. Never liked metallica after they went after napster like a decade ago... maybe im the only one who still remembers that.
 
Crap the price has bounced up to $69.99 for the Wii version . . . I looked at this morning (Xmas present for my brother-in-law--who only has a Wii) and it was $49.99 but I didn't have time to order . . . now the price went up.

too bad :whistle2:(
