I'm pretty excited for this game, though I am a bit disappointed that the Sammy Hagar era songs are not included.

Well, after I finish the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith I got on clearance for $10, the Guitar Hero: World Tour I got on clearance for $12.48, and the Guitar Hero: Metallica I got on clearance for $10, I might think about picking up Guitar Hero 5 or Guitar Hero: Van Halen for $10... on clearance of course.

This deluge of Guitar Hero games is not helping them retain any value.
 
I got the game early from the GH5 deal, and its really just a reskin of GH Metallica. There are none of the GH5 improvements, which is why I sold my copy after playing the game once.

"Eruption" was also the sickest note chart I've ever seen. Good luck 5 Starring that. :)
 
Yes, it's a re-skin of GH: Metallica, but minus all the cool little touches and attention to detail that actually made that a special game. If you're a big David Lee Roth era VH fan, you'll probably love this game. If you're not a big VH fan, or if you actually prefer the Sammy stuff, you'll probably think the game is mediocre at best. As stated above, it uses the same basic engine as Metallica or Smash Hits, not the new, improved, GH5 engine, meaning you have to play each instrument career mode seperately, and matchmaking is a joke. Although I'm sure this game will "launch" at $60, it's got to end up in the discount bin pretty quick, just because GS/etc will be flooded with used free copies once they start accepting them for trade after the game is officially released.

Gamestop has tons of Disc only games. :) They have to come from someplace. Not tradeing mine in however. I have some fun with these games with family and friends.

Yes you will, but they will not take them until the game is released.
 
I didn't like the game and only ended up liking about 5 songs of van halen and about 6 that were non-van halen in the game. I'd get this but at until it hits the bargain bin. I'm definately trading in my copy on release date.

Too much repetition from the "other artists" from Rock Band for me to pick this up from anywhere but Goozex once the value goes down. The Van Halen list ain't bad though.

I concur.

I also wish they'd support this and GH: Metallica with dlc from the title artists.
