Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit (360) $100, 2 Guitar Set (360) $70 at Walmart.com

nooooo.....ugh my poor wallet can't take much more...I'd like to bite on this but I have three x-plorers and the whole kit IS tempting....grrr.....why does walmart hate my financial situation? Thanks OP but I think I have to wait til my bills get chipped down a little more for me to bite....it's a rollback too so it might stick around for a while OR get better

BTW I keep seeing questions about instrument compatibility and I found a chart at joystiq that shows which peripherals work for which games for which systems....sounds weird but take a look.

Grabbed this to replace my RB1 stuff. I will finally have 2 wireless guitars and the wireless drums will be a plus as well.

So is this set better than the Rock Band 2 set? Is there any valid arguement for why the Rock band 2 band set is still $190 dollars? AFAIK this set is supposed to beat out Rock band in terms of Drums and Guitar. I'm in for one if anyone recommends that I jump on it. tbh I would prefer to get rockband instruments, but that bundle is too much for me.
[img-r=5198]6350[/img-r]Walmart has two Xbox 360 Guitar Hero World Tour sets on sale. Shipping is $10 for the band kit, $6 for 2 guitar pack, or free if you choose "ship to store". Note: The 2 guitar set includes one World Tour guitar and one GH III guitar.

:360: Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit $99.74
:360: Guitar Hero World Tour 2 Guitar Set $69.82
i'm too lazy to make a new thread, but gogamer.com has the world tour bundle for 360 on sale for 80.00

$80, I might even be able to justify that one. I want a new set of drums for RB2 but can't seem to find a good $ on just drums (if that exists). Those GHWT drums look cheap, but maybe worth it for $80. Probably trade in the game out right as it's fairly lame compared to both RB 1&2.

Man, when the next one comes out, people should hold off. Didn't take long for this game to drop like a stone.

Well, I just checked quickly and I call Shenanigans. Don't see it on their site at all using a keyword search of "Guitar Hero."

I call Shenanigans on your Shenanigans! Here is the CAG thread about it: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221472. It was part of their madness sale but is now out of stock. So they WERE selling it but sold out. Also noted it's an Asia version, but region free.

Thats because its OOS now..
The email listed it as part of the 48Hr Madness Sail

Limit 1
$79.90

If you check over @ SD, I think they had a post over there as well.

I just got the guitar 2 pack for 70 bucks but for the PS3 from WM. Pick it up today! Site to Store is cool because even though they give a really long wait period mine came in 2 days!

I'm really going to think about getting these. Even though I just bought RB1 drums, I wouldn't mind having the extra wireless controller and wireless set. Plus the game too boot.

For those who got it price matched at BB, how did you do it? Do they pm the prices on the site? Could I bring in a printed copy of it and ask them to pm it?

I've got a 10% off coupon and 25$ reward zone coupons to use, would make it awfully hard to resist to pay just 75$ after tax for all that.

Just picked one of the band kits up. Says expect it between Apr 27-May 1st. I was hoping I would get it by my birthday, Apr 23.
how much is it with tax etc ? Also lol can i order 2 one for me and a friend
Tax is going to depend on where you live, so anywhere between 100$ and 110$ prolly. Out here in Cali would be 110$.

I'm in Kentucky and my total was 105.72. And yes, I believe you can order more than one. It asked me what quantity, so I assume you can change it from '1'.
I had Best Buy price match this..(for gamers club reward points) great deal ..also best buy's 2 year protection plan on the instruments was only $14.00 which isnt terrible considering that the instruments will eventually break
Hey there everyone, first post. I as well tried to PM at my local BB, went to the customer service counter and explained with printed online ad, and waited for her response (2-3 minutes)w hile she was on the computer looking for an answer. But the customer service employee said she couldn't PM because the price is "too low" to match. I hate being a pest, so how would I get around it without looking like a baby. Thinking about hitting another BB. And is BB right to deny me a PM. I read this on theyre policy.

Apologies ahead, I dont know how to set up the link to site...

Thanks Everyone...

What is a "Web-exclusive offer?"
It is a product or a price that is only offered to online buyers.
does the live search work for this?
i searched "xbox 360 guitar" and only ebay and dell should up... :(
Yes Walmart has 5% cash back you can either just go to the Walmart site through live search or search for Guitar Hero.
Too many plastic instruments already.. :( Good deal though.
Same here. Nice find, OP.

now if i could only figure out which system to get it for :whistle2:k. ps3 or 360. i have gh 1, 2, 3, and 80's for ps2, am not interested in the drums, will get rock band 1 and 2 eventually, and a mic for singstar too. I have the 60 gb 360, and put a 250gb drive into the ps3. i am leaning that way because of the larger hard drive. any thoughts CAGs?

Yeah get it for PS3 ctrek. The bigger HD will be worth it in the end and won't force you to keep deleting and redownlaoding songs on 360, or having ot buy a bigger HD. Plus with the PS3 you can join a DLC song group and you can get lots of songs for free.

crraappp I ordered the $70 PS3 2-guitar pack WITHOUT the gift card yesterday evening (and it was 82 cents more expensive). I just went ahead and emailed them asking if I could switch my order to the one WITH the gift card...

well i picked up the guitar pack from TRU and an extra controller from bb yesterday the les paul. and i cannot believe how disappointed i am, the ghwt controller sucks, it will work fine for about a song then the strum will double or not work at all on a down strum. the les paul is much better, but seems to drop out every once in a while. also my wife and i tried to play carrier mode on band, but i guess you can't with just guitars, so we tried to join and online band but it found nothing. this is for the ps3 by the way.

is anyone else having any of these problems? :bomb:

I've had nothing but good things about my WT controller... it rawks pretty good.

I also went the TRU route, instead of the 70 kit. I already have a Les Paul, so it made sense.

Now thanks to the GS deal w/Aerosmith I have 2 X-Plorers (one new in box) for trade/sale!

Thanks CAG!

so you have it for the 360. i keep thinking i should try to return it and get them for the 360 instead. do the guitars require the usb dongle on the xbox as well?

No the 360 guitars, both Les Paul and the WT one, connect wirelessly without a dongle, and act like regular controllers.

I also had Guitar Hero:WT for the Wii for awhile, and noticed trouble with THAT guitar - it would recognize button presses that were never made on the pad.

So in my experience, the 360 version of these games has been the most stable and rewarding. Because of this I am migrating all of my Wii music games to the 360! Of course, I've never played the PS3 version(s), so they might be just as good.

my les paul does this. the ghwt one just stops recognizing the downstrum, and i have read many different reasons, i went with the ps3 cause of the larger hard drive, and felt that that system would last longer, but without bluetooth built into the guitars, they seem to suck. i wonder if i'll be able to return this stuff, its all opened already. :wall:

I saw this deal and searched ebay before going to walmart. I bought the complete band bundle and rockband 1 for about $70 each from "zkarlo" (I picked up both to avoid shipping). Both were basically brand new (drums for rockband hadn't even been removed from the box).
