I was skimming the slick deals thread on this and it seems that once you order you get a e-mail saying its on backorder and it seems that Red Octane has a habit of cancelling backorders after a few days, is that true?
 
Damn, the $60 package I got that had 2 guitars was a ripoff compared to this. I think I'll grab this with a guitar bag for a Christmas present.
 
And here I was thinking it would probably not get too much better than GH: WT + 2 Wired Guitars for $60 + Free Shipping from few weeks back. Man, was I WRONG. This deal makes that deal look shallow in comparison.
 
I'm going to pass on this. After the experience I've had with Red Octane over GH2 I wont be doing anymore business with their website. It's a great deal though and it is hard for me to pass up so good luck to everyone who is ordering.

GH2 was $18 shipped with the guitar, I also just finished with this experience. I ordered it 8 days ago and it showed "back-ordered" until 1 hour ago. It was closed by RedOctane and I was refunded the $18, about time..

I don't really care though, this is a much better deal, thanks OP!

Basically Red Octane over sells their stock and then people who think they were able to order are put on back order with no way of canceling it on their website. The website refers you to send in a claim report or to call their phone number and when you call their number it is incredibly hard to actually reach a person.

Chances are Red Octane is trying to burn off their old stock of wired guitar controllers and just throwing up some good deals on World Tour to do so. That would be my best guess, at least.

Thanks...I had to bite on this. I already own 9 guitars, but I could use another to smash with this price. Came to 36.98 with guitar bag filler. I just hope they don't cancel the order. After all of these deals lately, my wallet is getting angry!

I bit. Ordered the PS2 version with an extra dark wood guitar. Gonna post the 2 guitars on Craigslist with a Guitar Hero or Guitar Hero II I've got sitting around. Hopefully the game'll work out to under $20.

If you take it for what it is, it's a fun enough diversion. Just a disc of about 70 new songs to play. The big name acts like the Doors, Hendrix, Eagles, Michael Jackson, etc. are worth the price of admission. It will not be replacing Rock Band as music game of choice by anyone though.

I had the same bad experience with the GH2 bundle for $9.99. They just closed my order with no email or nothing. I bought this bundle for an Xmas gift as I also need the rechargable batteries that I have not seen sold else where.

I just hope they don't start cancelling orders left and right like they did with the $9.99 deal.
 
Mine was also closed today. Not too happy that they do not even send you an email. Just picked up World tour with wired PS2 guitar for $29. Will have to wait and see if they cancel this one also.
