I prefer Hawx, it's a better game and the bizarro storyline in Ace bugs me.
I only played the HAWX demo and it didn't really do anything for me. Ace Combat delivers a much better feeling that I'm actually flying a jet, especially with AC6's incredible graphics and audio. Even the PS2 games felt more immersive than HAWX, though. Yes, the story has been hilariously bad since AC5, but that wasn't really the main draw for me.
