Half Price Books coupon - 033009-033109. 30% Monday/Tuesday
So since the store is half off regularly and this is a 50% coupon they will be free? :)
I sincerely hope you can understand how wrong your logic is. :wall:

I wonder if this coupon would be accepted everywhere? I got a set of coupons for half price but they look very different . . .

I used the 40% off one on a CD boxset on Thur. and had plans for the 50% off one today but we got hit with snow and have plans. So my run up to the store (1 1/2 hr. roundtrip) is out.
I sincerely hope you can understand how wrong your logic is. :wall:
Maybe he doesn't know how math works.

i doubt the store takes printed off coupons and These coupons are probally just for stores that just opened.. We had one open few weeks back here and the coupons were in the paper... probally the OP had a new store just open up

though the coupon says VALID at all HPB.... just wonder if they take a print out

Maybe I read it wrong, but it seemed like he made a clever joke to me.

Either way thanks for the scan, I got one mailed to me a while ago. Usually Half Price doesn't care about printouts, but YMMV...

It would be clever if that made sense mathematically.

Or if you had a sense of humor. I think you are probably taking his/her comment way to seriously. I'm sure it was meant facetiously; give him/her (and your egos) a break. [Note the smiley face in the original post.]
I signed up for their mailing list and they sent these coupons out via email....they should be accepted everywhere
The barcode appears to be the same as the one I received in the mail . . . I think these will work anywhere. If you do it carefully, you might be able to use it more than once. Make a purchase, take it to your car . . . make another purchase . . . but don't do it too often.

Damn the snow here . . . I'm stuck today--won't be able to go.

These aren't just for new stores. These are part of a store wide sale they do about twice a year. I'm on their mailing list and email list so they send me the coupons in an email and in the mail.

The first day of the sale was a 40% off coupon so I went to the only one close to me and their was absolutely nothing video game/strategy guide/ or dvd that I was interested in which sucked. I ended up getting two of these Batman 1960's looking metal signs.

Do you understand that half off of half off does not equal zero? How is it humorous in any way?

Well, if it was a Super Stacker Coupon, it would stack with the original 50% forming a 100% discount. Kind of like how the Edge stacks with a 10% coupon to give you a full 20% off the original price.

I sincerely hope you can understand how genius the post was. :wall:

Thanks OP. I picked up the Neon Genesis Evangelion box set today for $25 :).

And while there I stumbled upon the strategy guide for Parasite Eve in rather fine condition.

they hada FF7 black label in fort wayne when they first opened.. Could of got it for 36 but did not think it was worth it..

Got Medieval Total War II Complete for $7 using the 40% off coupon from last week. Today I got Our Dumb World by The Onion for $4 after discount.

haha i got mine at the tacoma store. last time around, i picked up FF7 Greatest Hits and Parasite Eve... I do think my store is the best one (I've checked the seattle ones, and they all sucked.. just generic computer games).

Just posted new PC titles in the Half Price books thread. I'm going to post the rest tommorow.

PCgirl.

Edge does not stack w/ coupon. 10% is taken off twice. There is a difference between 20% and 10% twice.

Hit several stores today (there's 5 in my area) and came away with these...

Arcana Heart (ps2) - $7.50
Mercenaries 2 (ps3) - $5
Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness Hardbound Graphic Novel - $5
Puzzle Quest (pc) - $3
Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass guide (sealed) - $1

Only had enough energy to hit up the HPB on my street (we have four in the area), but no good games or guides to be found. Instead I picked up the Tales of Phantasia DVD for $5. :) Been looking for that one for a long time, so I was happy.

I picked up Guitar Hero 2 & 3 (360) for $5 each, and the original Battlestar Galactica Cylon Helmet box set for $25. I was quite happy. I *love* HPB.

I think you're taking mine more serious than I am his. Sadly, there are people that actually think that's how math works. Anyway, you should probably take your own advice.

i could of got puzzle quest for 3 BUT already beat it on the DS and its the same game on the pc..... SO i picked up

FLower tycoon or something like that maybe plant tycoon.,....

now this game will be a very long game since it runs in real time and it takes like 3 hours for a flower to bloom until you get major cash to make it bloom faster

Exactly what I did too. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the games PC Girl mentioned that I was after, but MTW2 complete was a pleasant surprise.
Do you understand that half off of half off does not equal zero? How is it humorous in any way?
The humor isn't in the math, it's more in the play on words.
Sweet deal though...

Should have included a smiley face. ;)

Did you get FF7 at the Tacoma store? I saw it there a while back, but I thought it was $100.

I picked up Disgaea 1 for $5.

I didn't use the coupon but I got Superman Returns for the 360 for $5 today at Half Price Books. Unfortunately they didn't have the book I was looking for.
