Halo 2 17.82 with $.99 shipping at walmart.com

Is below the only difference between the regular version and limited edition version?

Special limited collector's edition includes a tin box and a second DVD featuring commentary, a making of the game feature, art gallery and more

Do you know if the price in walmart stores is the same? I've gone to walmart before after checking the internet price and they didn't give the same deal. Walmart seems to be the only store that prices are different between the store and the website.

I saw a good deal on Lord of the Rings Box set last year on Walmart.com and then went to the store to pick it up and it was $15 more. I mentioned it to the cashier and she said that prices on the website can be different than prices in the store and that they don't pricematch their own website.

Thanks for the heads up. I went ahead and ordered one before it went out of stock. Got Halo for $20 a couple years ago and now Halo 2 for $20 (after tax and shipping) Can't beat those deals.

I dont see how the tin would be worth it anyway as it wasnt limited. If you dont care about the commentary the regular edition is fine and you seem to have figure that out. :)

Thanks OP. Just ordered one. Almost picked this up at Target last week, glad I waited. Never like to spend more than $20 on a game.

Official policy is that they DO match their own website. However, they will add whatever shipping charge they would charge for the item on to the price that is offered online, and if that is still cheaper than the store, they should still match the item + shipping price at the register.
Sorry if its a stupid question but would Walmart honor this in store?
Nope.

That's not what the lady told me. It was $15 different between the website and the store with shipping being only about $5. Not sure why they would add on shipping at the store. You're saving them the trouble of having to ship it to you by driving out to their store to pick it up. Nobody should pay for shipping when you're not shipping it. Best Buy does it right. After ordering the item, they give you the option of having it shipped or picking it up at the nearest store. That's my opinion of how it should be done.

I ended up finding a better price from a different online retailer but the person at my walmart was not going to match their own website. If matching is their official policy then they need to tell that to their employees.
