Halo 2 Map Pack Compatible w/ a Modded Xbox?

highwaypatrolman

CAGiversary!
Does anyone know if the Halo 2 Map Pack is/isn't compatible with a modded Xbox? I heard horror stories about people playing the Star Wars Trilogy bonus DVD in their modded XBox's and the disc wiped their mod data. I'm just generally wondering; I'm neither promoting nor suggesting that I have a modded Xbox...
Halo2 Maps work fine, So does the StarWars DVDs.
I have a modded Xbox and I've been playing the Halo2 maps on XBC fine.
thats exactly what i needed to know. thanks; you're a pimp.
not the best idea if you're a fan of privacy. microsoft will eventually see that yours is modded, and you won't be playing halo much longer.
pbbbbb. yeah, and mister gates is gonna send some stealthy yakuza-mafia-gangsters and take away his halo. i don't think the op is stupid enough to take his modded xbox on xbl. okay......

oh, shoot! gotta go. somebody's at my door and they're not jahova's wittnesses.

ahhh!!!!

Maybe Microsoft put some tracking devices on the discs that wirelessly transmit the data back to MS and tell them if you have a modded Xbox?

actually, i have a friend that has a cousin that works at this place that shipped out the le halo 2's and he said he once saw his brothers le halo 2 box move around by itself when they went online with his modded xbox. when he went to investigate, a small micro masterchief robot thingy jumped out at him, tackled him down with a melee attack and grenade launched a transmitter up his ass so that m$ will now everything he does.............and eats.

i havn't heard from my friends, cousins, co-workers, etc...... since.

you'd be surprised at how stupid people are. many people take their modded boxes online, and i was giving a simple, curt warning. no need to be unfunny, sarcastic douches.

If you have a softmodded xbox then the star wars dvds will update the dashboard to the latest version and then your basically screwed. Not sure on the map pack but if you have an actual chip you should be fine.

I have a softmod Xbox and nothing happen when I watched all the StarWars DVDs on my Xbox. I even played the Demo of Battlefront.

umm probably just a different sofmod then becuase i know I had ude and it tore mine up, ended up formatting the hd and just deciding to get live.
well i play halo 2 and it is not a softmod and i have been playing halo 2 on live since it cames out.
Wow, just wow. And let me guess, you are the kind that brags about modding the legit users, right? If not and you don't use modding to your advantage, then I applauded you, but this is highly unlikely.

hey dickhead i dont use modding to my advantage i know i could but i dont cheat so fuck off just because you cant afford the $500 mod

I've got a mobo and I play live all the time. There's no way to track it, unless you cheat or have your mod turned on.

you paid $500 for your mod?!!!  your attempt to look 1337 just horribly backfired on you....

my mod -- 120 gig HD($60) + Executer 3.0 + HD install = $120 altogether. even threw in a full pack of emulators and roms. Guess the modder took you for a dumbass and overcharged you

my bad i got the same thing as you but with a 300 gig HD and a PS2 matirx infinity and ps2 hdd. i bought both of them together with LED's so it was good deal.

The banning from Live is because of modified content, not modded Xboxes. I have Friends who play with modded boxes on Live without penalty.

hmmm, ozzkev wants the truth...well, how many times have I outed myself as a pirate on this site? Just like everyone else who talks about roms and emulators.

let's see, 120 gigs--

--about 20 for roms and emulators for old school systems and Mame.

--about 20 for games that I own and play frequently-- mostly fighting games

--20 more for xbox games that I've downloaded to try before I buy. mostly crap like Sudeki, Tenchu, Splinter Cell, the Urbz, TMNT. just stuff that I didn't want to even try renting first because I was iffy about the quality or whether I'd be into it or not.

The rest is for music, movies, porn, anime, cartoons, pictures, and various homebrew programs.

Worth every penny

Before going off on someone, you might want to increase your reading capabilities, as you obviously missed the 2nd half of my statement. Now who is the one looking like a dickhead? And I am sorry some of us have other things that are more important than a $500 mod, like bills and other stuff that actually has an outcome on how I live.

look i pay bills just like you and i know i should of not gone off but you should not post if you have nothing good to say.

$500 for a modded Xbox, WOW. I spent like $200 for mine.
Xbox = $75, 200GB HD = $90, 007:AUF = $15, USB to Xbox adaptor = $5, Flash Drive = $15

Damn that sounds awesome...but how does the emulator compute with the xbox controller?
I wonder if they will mod the XBOX360

It is :D
if yer comfortable with the xbox controller, they work well. the only thing is that every button not used for the system is mapped for emulator controls-- so if you hit the wrong button you might frameskip and die or exit the emu.

There's people on Xbox-scene.com who are talking about cracking the 360 the day it comes out. Modding is a big business, so I'm sure all the mod teams are looking to be the first one out the door.
